FuelTuner, I am just wondering why you have had that kit for so long and only used Vintage once? What were you using on your car all that time? I am starting to wonder if these high end waxes are kinda like some of the Vipers on the Viper board where the guys put them in their garqage and don't drive them. I just don't see waxes as a collector's item but the more I read on here I guess I am wrong since there are a lot of people that have just about every Zymol they make. Once you have Vintage why would you need Destiny or Atlantique? I guess you could alternate and get different looks kinda like I do with Z2p or Z5p. And I will even switch up and use a carnuaba occasionally. But it appears some of the people that have a lot of different Estate Glazes don't use them all. Please don't take this as a slam or criticism but I was just wondering how somebody could have such small containers of such nice waxes and not have used them. Again, no offense intended, just curious.
No Offence taken! I originaly wanted this kit because it came available to me, and yes, at the time i thought that I would have used it all the time. But I detail alot of cars ( over 400 /year) at a body shop, and those are products that are just no used every day, mostly because you have to be in a humidity controlled inviroment. The kit came with the 3 waxs.. sometimes I wonder about that too... IF they say that Concours was developed for thier own personal cars, why the hell would they need any of the other Estates? If I worked there, Id be grabbing Royale like it was soda. That , and there is a crap load of money in this part of the world, ( oil money ) but every one is very cheap at the same time. They just cannot justify the extra cash for a premium LSP. So the kit sat. I guess in a way, it was bragging rights too... What did I use on my car? Ive gone through 1 tub of Carbon and one Tub of Concours. I have Victoria Wax Concours, and just finally using that up. So I still have used Zymol, but to use the Estate Glazes, you just want to use a bit extra care and time with them. And with winter here from Oct to end of March, with temp as low as -45 F ... It makes it a bit harder to use the Estates with setting them up and so forth, Where as Vicoria Wax is pretty much set and cured in 30min. My next try out wax is going to be P21S 100%.
Thanks, I have heard nothing but good about that P21S 100%. So is Mystery going to be your new go to wax? I think I would go with the P21S 100% for the customers cars and Mystery on your personal vehicle. I have actually heard people compare the look of 100% to that of Vintage. Almost tempted to try it. Where are you from?
Loosing one Mystery is going to hurt...but this sample kit will go well with my Zymol collection :applause2: Besides I can always order another Mystery, this sample kit's are now a collectors item :cheerl:
hahaha not a chance there Calgary..not a chance...this is going in my private collection..you know which one I'm talking about  oh and :shh:
well i tired.... my collection is comming but i have to admit you are still the king of wax... i think you migh even be leading the revolution :mounty:
In reference to this comment and the Vintage, what is the ideal environment for Vintage use? With products I've used in the past any colder temperatures usually just add on to the time before you can buff it off. I would be using Vintage in an uncontrolled environment with temperatures ranging from 60-90*F.
