I personally like Zep Citrus...use it on wheel wells, rims, and tires 4:1 no ill effects so far, leave it on for 30 secs and don;t let it dry .....never used it on paint though. It actually says on the bottle not to use it on paint.

Yes the bottle says no paint but if you look closely at the fine prints, somewhere it saids 1:19 for paint surface.

i love me zep citrus, but i have never used it on paint. I keep it for wheel wells and tires only.
I use OPC, APC+, Super Degreaser, Grime Destroyer, or PB APC for paint.

I was tempted to get a gallon of this at Home Depot the other day, but after reading the label I opted not too. The label clearly states it should not be used on automotive paints. Sorry to hear about your dilemma.

Also be careful with the Super Degreaser on paint. Meguiar's warns to wet surrounding painted areas near those that you will be cleaning to avoid possible staining.

I use it at 10:1 (DI:cleaner) on paint with no ill effects. Have yet to have it stain, but thanks for the headsup

Super Degreaser and APC+ may stain paint if left on for too long. Neither product is safe for use on paint.
