Your take on Fluorescent lighting, looking at this

    Richy, just wanted to know if you noticed any increase in energy consumption with the bulbs that you recommended? Looks very appealing!

    You shouldn't if you are currently running incandescent bulbs as the ones Richy is using are CFLs. Your garage probably has 60 watt incandescent bulbs and the 200 watt CFLs are rated at 45 watts as far as power consumption. The 300 watt CFLs may use a little more.

    Honestly, I would have no way of telling. In the summer, I run my portable air conditioner which sucks a lot more electricity than those bulbs ever could. My reason for getting them was the colour temp closely matches the sun's light and for their brightness. They are awesome. I want to change my fluorescents over to T8's but that expense will have to wait.
