I use the VX5000 too and 1z Plastic Renewer with steel wool for tough stains or scuff marks, but you have to be careful because it dulls some plastics (the steel wool). Then for dressing I use FK108 and 1Z CP with a Swissvax brush for vents (steaming vents doesn't really work). Leather Masters on leather.
I am a Meg's #40 fan for all plastics and vinyl. I have yet to decide on a product I really like for leather, I have used many.
I'd have to agree with the majority here...Einszett Cockpit! The stuff works great AND IT DOES NOT SMELL LIKE CITRUS! For leather I found my new love........Leather Master products. Phil, thank you so much for talking me into getting their products.
Sorry, looks like you asked this a month and a half ago, and I missed it.:sorry: I've never used it through any sort of machine - only by hand, with brushes and a shop vac. I've since started using their "Extraction Plus," also by hand. Lemonator is still great, I've just been in a mood to try something different.
guys one thing if you like the 303 I would say try the Einszett Rubber/Vinyl Care there is UV protection in there and its get a little sheen to it for the interior.
Vinyl? 1Z Cockpit Premium hands down Leather Cleaning? Leather Masters Leather Conditioning? 1Z leather care...but want to try out Raceglaze leather balm! plastics? APC 10:1 followed by Meguiars #40 (SO NICE) carpet? APC, and FOLEX for spots clothe? APC 10:1 *APC 10:1 is very versatile on interior surfaces
CG silk shine after wipe down with CG green clean cut 10:1, now I love Meguires # 40, ordered a gallon of it last night..it's my go to now for trim too.:applause2:
picked up some Einszett Cockpit Premium after reading this post and used it on my last 3 details. I must say it does not have a citrus smell, more like industrial cleaner scent. Works well at cleaning and leaves the vinyl with a flat look, although I am not sure about its protection when it dries it almost dissapears. I love the smell of Optimum Leather/vinyl protectant but it tends to leave smears. I have not tried the newer Meguiars Supreme and natural shine protectants yet however they smell exactly like #40 cleaner and conditioner so I assume its based on the same chemicals. I still haven't got a favorite goto... looking for something that leaves no gloss but is visible and smells fanatastic! :yikes:
What are you after? Look, smell, cheap cleaner? If cheap, use ONR, I prefer Meg;s QID for just general use but I just like the sprayer. A mild APC like Meg;s APC can work too. 303 has no smell if you want a protectant but it just needs t be applied lightly using an appliccaor,
Nasty plastic - Majestic Solutions Tidal Wave cut 1:1 Normal dirt - Woolite 8:1 or Vinylex Dust - Megs Int QD, or 1Z CP Carpet - Majestic Solutions Enzymatic, Woolite 8:1, Automagic HD clean diluted 30:1 - tried Folex, MS Extraction Plus, and few others - ok, but not as effective.
