Nope all pre 98-2000(mid cycle 00) At least for paint code S202 (Onyx black) Lexus used a Base coat with a clear mixed..If it wasn't transferring that means the car was repainted.
Also all Lexus' are assembled in Japan..so they're made the same....(well paint at least)

 

Could have been repainted then, I haven't detailed too many Lexus my self to be honest and I've always wondered about the mixed clear. Thanks for the feed back though eace:
