Not to mention, any sort of inhalation of a product like opti coat, and probably the A/CQuartz will definitely result in a permanent coating of conductive and respiratory pathways and will more than likely affect respiratory gas exchange...

    Yea, no thanks.

With all the marketing that goes into these products, I am amazed that there is not so much of any warning of the atomization of these products leading to serious problems.

Oh and... consider Collinite 845 Insulator Wax. Great value, easy to use, great durability, sharp glossy shine.

I have Cquartz on my STI, sheets water like glass, and I wash my car weekly etc, and have seen no degradation of the product. However 1) it marred like crazy, and I wasted 10 brand new MF towels, I was able to fix it, but it was really grabby. I waited the 30 minutes and buffed off as directed etc. 2) water spots very easily 3) its not very slick until you apply reload.

overall I am happy with it, even after I had the application issues, but I have switched over to Aquartz now, its easier to work with and has similar results without the spotting.

Maybe I'll just try the opti-seal or coat

It simply will not get easier than OptiSeal - you can get around an entire car in 5 minutes including trim, glass, plastics.

Thats a great choice as well.

What you might want to consider is just getting a spray wax to top after you wash your car. We go through a lot of ONR in the winter, and always recommend something of a sprayable product(optiseal would work) to just keep adding additional coats each wash.

    M3ride. Wax on..Wax off

I'd go with Prima Epic and top up with Prima Hydro Spray Wax every so often.

Yeah that sounds like a good idea to me. I no longer have a garage big enough for 2 cars and my talon is not ever going to see snow, so I will be washing my truck at a diy car wash and if you can apply opti-seal that quick, then that makes it a great choice.

Hey, that's always good info to have as well. Do you still say opti-coat 2.0 since we are talking about paint?
