I got this 04 Trailblazer that was tore up pretty good in a tornado and it was rebuilt . I have got the truck back in new condition amazingly but one window has some evil water spots and they don't want to come off. I wish this window would have been replaced with the others. This is the only window that survived the tornado and it's got minor knicks and almost etched looking water spots. I'll take educated answers or crazy wild guesses because I am running out of them. I am about to compound them or clay them will that possibly work? Vinegar ? Thanks for any help ! :help:
i like using clay first and follow this step with Duragloss Nu Glass (excellent product) u can use too Duragloss Water Spot Remover, Vinegar or some glass polishing kit
the one thing that i have found at work that will take off water spots (without using the stupid acid crap my boss buys with steel wool YIKES) is 3M compound it 3000, on a plain terry cloth, its alot of work, and you'll have to clean the window off a few times with glass cleaner, and use alot of time and engery, but boy it sure takes off nasty water spots!

what ever you do don't buy diamondite products.. i was extremely disappointed. the clay foam cleaner is a joke..if it dries you are screwed. i thought i scratched my whole rear window with their scrubby.. i guess advertising works..i have no clue what keeps them in business besides that.
Well I found the cure for water spots in a big hurry ! I used one of my compounds that is roughly equivelent to 600 grit sandpaper with my high speed and a foam pad. It took less than 5 minutes. I did have to do a little by hand around the edge because I didn't want to burn the paint on the window divider thingy. That is how I will do that from now on ! It's always fun to experiment and find new little tricks. I got the truck delivered and they were excited to go show some friends that did not believe it could be cleaned after a tornado destroyed it. That what makes this all worth it. :dance:
