Prime strong is a light tan color, however, on the pad you can clearly still see the dark grey spots which is the embedded dirt. Megs paint cleaner is not even in the same league as prime strong being that the megs is a very light cleanser.

Prime strong + AJT(3 layers 30 mins apart) = Amazing

I'm curious as I've never used a paint cleanser, but do you apply via da on speed 6 and polish as you would correcting?
Sounds like you're using a polishing pad and applying it as if you're waxing it, so what speed do you use?

Use a polishing pad and speed 3. Anything higher and the cleanser seems to stick to the paint. Basically put a bead of the cleanser on the pad, mop the panel so all areas are covered( like you are applying a wax/sealant )and wipe off. I did the entire focus in about 20 minutes.

Good stuff, ordering me some prime strong now, lol.
Unless you happen to carry it by any chance, pm me.

See, I go the other way. Whenever I use a paint cleaner I go HAM on it. Im talking like speed 5 or 5.5, pressuring down and working it at least 3 section passes just before its dries, wipe off. I also use a firm pad and always get SHARP SHARP results regardless of paint type(even the stuff people whine about).

Great info I really need some werkstatt products. Ken have you tried duragloss 501?

That is a combo I have been using for years. so many people ignore the power of a good paint cleaner. with prime I runt it until it almost disappears. usually use between 1/4 and 1/2 ounce per car or truck. one bottle goes a long way. I really like using prime on chrome, especially bumpers .

I haven't tried that mike. Will give it a go with Werkstat and see how it turns out.

Yes I have Sal. The Prime Strong is a bit stronger IMHO. Either is capable of getting the job done though.

Ok. Good info, but my question is this.

On my bottle of S100 paint cleanser, it says to use a back and forth motion. Will it hurt to use a PC with this product?

Good thread. I've always used a paint cleaner before applying my LSP - usually KAIO, or if I want a little cut, Poli-Seal. Planning on getting some Lime Prime Lite as a cleaner prior to using my carnaubas.

Have used S100 with a pc and it will work fine for you. I like to vary the pad from prime as a blue pad is used for light cleaning or a green pad if the surface
has not been cleaned for a while. have also used a white pad with good success.

I love paint cleansers. I really like the Sonax one, I've gotten great results with it. It takes care of very light marring and water spotting that a normal wash wouldn't take off.

I also do the firmness thing with DG501 as well. I tend to really stretch what a product is used for but the chemical action of the products are so good all they need is an appropriate medium to work even better.

Exceptions are the obvious time when I have already finished down with a finish polish intentionally and will be rewashing or if topping with a sealant I tend to work them with a lighter pad. I have found that in my experience they are better(to me) with firmer pads), but again YMMV . These cleaners are used as maintenance cleanup preps between light corrections and when someone isn't interested in polishing - I figure if I'm going to bill for an hour of paint cleaning I may as well aim to improve the surface.

I use DG 501 often. Need some Werkstatt products maybe some exclusive sealant too

I love Duragloss 501 as it cleans very well but is very durable on its own. I also use it with a finishing pad and apply it as a sealant too.

Never tried it with a PC Roger. Flatstick says it works fine though.

911Fanatic - Thanks for posting this, I did not even know paint cleansers existed before reading your post.
