I dont see why people didnt believe me to begin with that distributor charging $35. Ken and other people who sell this run a business so have to make a profit. In most cases you will always save if you go direct than a second man. But it only benefits me and other people who are a distance to the distributor. Anyone else would be paying $35 plus shipping so around that $50 mark anyways (the same or a few bucks cheaper than a regular shop in the end in Canada). But you guys paying $80 for CWC in the U.S should find a U.S reseller or distributor of Autoglym cause your basically paying up the ass in shipping because your buying in Canada. Some of my friends just drive 3-12 hours to a distributor and buy all their gallon stuff at one time each summer or every other summer. But they also spend time in B.C with shopping, family, etc.

To all the numerous people that have been messaging me lol contact these people and see what they have to say:

In general, I use the same water and soap bucket that I used on the paint to do the wheels. However, some wheels get much dirtier, and I prefer to have an easier time cleaning so I will use the Sonax. Typically I use it on German cars, especially Audi's that just get hammered with brake dust.

    Such as these:

In my experience, regular soap, water, and agitation doesn't work some wheels you aren't doing a maintenance wash on. When they're just caked, and it has some stuff stuck on it, I would use Meg's Wheel Brightener. Stuff is not that expensive, and it's effective.

For tires, I like using Meg's Super Degreaser because it's the strongest cleaning agent I can use, and it's not paint safe. It pulls dirt like no other cleaner I've ever used, and it just makes my life easier. I certainly don't think it's a must have, and I don't think wheel cleaners are must haves. APCs will do. Sometimes, they're just nice to have around for the one in 15 cars you might get that need them.

That's okay. I have Murray's work number, but it's Sunday. E-mail works just as effective between the two of us.

I'm calling bullshit on this one. $35 is barely more than wholesale. Why not just post a pic of your invoice? I've contacted Terry and will post his response.

Just like when I was at Performance Art Ken, I was a HRE dealer and there were/and still are dealers who will sell for 5-7% over cost............................HRE did little to curb this but dealers like this have no ethics or fitment knowledge, I suspect the same in this case but of course a invoice with the address omitted would put the whole issue to rest and if it is B.S. my only thought would be why embellish the cost??

Dave had it right, stick with soap and water as it is doing great for this guy I mean I get dedicated wheel cleaners because I like to lose money in my business lol.

I got a e-mail from Terry, CWC is $49 and the shipping is $24.50 to me..both are taxable I rather buy $150 worth of product from ken and get free shipping, plus 5% discount. Even if it was only $35, ken's deal is still better

Hmm, nothing yet for me... I'd rather buy from Ken, it's always nice to pick up some other small things.

Maybe I'm going it wrong, but I can't get my wash soapy water to get rid of caked on brake dust and road tar... Wheel cleaners save me time and energy that I can use to polish or wax or whatever else I'm doing. If you can get wash water to do that, more power to you, but I bet it takes you longer.

It's probably pricing before inflation and before the pound was high and before everyone emailed and before he saw the post and most certainly before the start of time

Because he didn't..........the OP that is, here is thought AMG why lie about what you paid for a product?? I have purchased both cleaners in the larger sizes and I did not pay that and I bought my CWC from Ken over a year ago and it was not that price(Me thinks prices on things goes up in price over time not down).

I am sick to death of fluff and outright lying on the detailing forums, what on earth could you benefit from by telling this tall tale?, I mean if a re-seller of Auto Glym was selling the product for this pricepoint two things would happen......................everyone including me would stock up, but if it's true that also means a AG re-seller is whoring out the pricepoint and hurting the market in the long run which would cause me not to buy from someone who does this either if I knew what was going on.

Do most of you know what dealers like Phil and Ken go through?? it is not "Peaches & cream, I am for value like anyone but these guys have to make a decent profit or they will close the doors.....................then where are we?, especially when you get great service and shipping speed from both. AMG not sure of your motivation on this subject but soap & water will work on ceramic brake equipped vehilcles but steel rotored cars and BMW's this combo will not "Cut the mustard".

yeah, BMW rims usually accumulate quite a bit of brake dust even after a few hundred miles (in my experience on both of my E46 325Ci and E70 X5 4.8i)...and that from normal driving. But after having some spirited driving, there is quite a lot of brake dust. Me thinks this can be a perfect side by side test of Gtechniq C5 and Cquartz to see if both offer enough protection to the rims be cleansed with just soap and water...

Both should work Sergei. My brother's last Gti had Boxster brakes on it with some racing pads that would puke an unbelievable amount of dust ( and I mean puke ) whenever he touched the brakes. Before mounting his summer wheels he applied Blackfire All Metal Sealant ( 3 coats ) and all he used to clean them all summer was soap and water. The car was his daily driver and was autocrossed occasionally as well.

I was waiting for the invoice to be shown in case the claim was possibly real, AMG if you cannot produce it imo you should be banned for "Time wasting" and general trollness...........................what were you thinking when you hatched this B.S., now a bunch of guys were thinking "Cool I can get a great wheel cleaner on the cheap" but no....................................someone was making stuff up for only a reason that person knows.

I am all for supporting small business, even when Phil does not run a coupon I am very satisfied paying my normal NASIOC discount...... I don't care if Phill's margin of profit is 300% or 3%, He is a good guy, and has always taken care of me. As for undercutting, that is Walmart attitude and I don't support that type of behavior, it is what is ruining our country. At some point the Undercutting becomes so much that the only place left is big box product whores like Walmart...
