For me, it's that stupid Zymol cleaner wax, no protection at all; followed by P21S (not the 100S) this one so oily BP needs to abandon the gulf leak and just refine this one and make tons of money. Then it's Jetseal109, all the work and last only 1 wash.

Natty's Blue: decently easy on and off, but crap beading and doesn't last very song
Pinnacle Souveran: easy on and off, looks good, but crap durability and unimpressive beading
Collinite 476: nice beading, but it only looks OK and I don't like application and removal process

I've read several times before that PB Natty's Blue has lousy durability. I guess that's fine if you like to or can wax constantly. Personally if I have the energy waxing every month wouldn't bother me. But Indiana's weather just hasn't been cooperating this month. When it's not hot (90's) it's humid. Or it's raining. Or it's hot and humid. Or hot humid and raining. I would hate to use something with lousy durability like that and not be able to wax when I needed to.

I'm taking a break from Collinite here lately and been on a Menz Power Lock kick. Been doing ONR washes on it ever since and can tell it's still pretty slick when wiping down. Durability seems to be holding up pretty well so far for just 1 coat.

exactly, you need to use a the damp applicators, they aid in the application, just used it on a customer car, worked great, and use a low nap MF towel (either the AG towel provided or something similar) to buff the residue. it will come off really easy.

My least favorite LSP is Meguiars Gold Class paste wax. It was the very first wax i bought, bought it well before i researched high end detailing products. That meguiars Gold Class would last maybe a week, now #16 is the one to use if you can find it.

Check out Pakshak, has about 4 tins the last time I checked.

I used a damp applicator. . I even tried completely soaking the applicator and then wringing it out. I've tried water. I've tried QD spray. I've tried microfiber applicators. I've used foam applicators. I even tried a foam "polishing" applicator which was the best thing I found. I really think I just got a bad can.

Klasse HGSG... Removal was a pita... Only used it once so far (before I learned the trick to application) Next time I'm sure I wont have an issue with it. I did like it a lot for my door jambs though. Stopped the scratches that the weatherseal was causing on the bottom.

    I'm not a fan of most OTC products...call me a snob :)
As for more boutique products, my least favorite LSP is probably Klasse. It's just not fun to use and it creates a plasticy look to me. I'm not sure if the current product is the same as the original formula, but it's time for a refresh.

I might be the strange one of the group but i just wasnt thrilled with the CK Carnauba moose wax. I do love how smooth it felt on the paint but other than that there wasnt anything else to it.

I didnt mind how poorly it beaded as i was looking more for sheeting but it didnt even sheet THAT well. Not to mention it STINKS! And during the time i had it on the paint, it was raining nonstop for a week and the car got dirty and wasnt beading much. I thought maybe the protection was still there but then i washed the car and tested the sheeting ability and it was basically nonexistent. The look was gone as well.

I will admit that while i really dont like the CK CMW, i really do like the RMG, granted RMG is a glaze.

Same with 476, was hard to buff off and left mating on soft Honda paint so downgraded to wheels.

  13. Kristoffer

    Kristoffer Virgin Detailer

JetSEAL = Poor durability, yes it is easy to use, but not easier than for example MG#21 2.0 or Power Lock

Butter Wet Wax = I rather use a "quick wax" :)

Megs NXT/#21. Left me wondering how someone can product such great products like #26 and #16 and call this stuff revolutionary. It stains trim and applicators amazingly well and produces a ho-hum look that fades to nothing quickly. Its like someone took the worst of a wax and a sealant and put them together.

JS109 is worthless, I wasn't impressed with the 50/50 either.

Most CG products are hit or miss with me but these two for the price were a total rip off.

I definitely think that's the case. I have had a great time applying HD. Smells great too! For it's price, I am very pleased with its results. I can't remember who mentioned it, but I like the large beads/blobs it produces. I haven't been using it long enough to comment on its durability though.

I also have to say for it's price, I like the results I get from Gold class, although they don't last. I needed to reapply every 2 weeks to stay nice and it really attracts a lot of dust. But for $20, who's to complain?

As far as least favorite LSP... I bought this just to try it out and I am really not impressed with it. KlearKote Carnuba Mousse. I use this as my most "cheapo" LSP for really cheap clients.

I also want to throw in Meguiars Ultimate Quik Detailer (OTC product)....REALLY did not like this product. I bought it for an emergency and I will probably never use it again.

I would have to say the Dodo soft waxes because of their excessive crystallisation and tendency to separate.

I'm surprised someone mentioned CG 50/50. I guess some people don't like creamy smooth waxes that are easy on easy off and last for several months in constant outdoor conditions. Hmmmmmmm....

My HD Wax most definitely did not smell anything remotely like "great"
    . It has a nasty kerosene/gasoline smell.
I got mine from an online seller. I've been meaning to get a can from Wallyworld & see if what they're selling is any better.

I agree, it could be his bad experience with Chemical Guys that made him not have a clear head when leaving his post. CG 5050 is one of the best LSP's regardless of price. But, we all know that car wax can be a touchy subject sometimes like politics and religion.:afro:

It's post like these that make me wonder about my Lusso Auto Bathe. Mine smells terrible and kinda makes me want to throw up but almost all the post I see complement and praise the smell.
