Whats the best car wash soap (under $20)/gallon

Yeah, but he wants a gallon for 20 bucks, not a 16 oz bottle for 20 bucks.

That price is insane. I'll never try it for that price. It's soap for Christ's sake. Glossworks is into sealant pricing.

 

Well, why don't you just ask for a sample of it the next time you place an order with CG? I got a free 8 oz sample of it, and I really like it...not sure how much a gallon of it costs...

 

Honestly, I've never ordered from them direct. Maybe it's time!

 

Although one thing I don't like about all those super concentrated shampoos is I never feel that they have enough lubricity...even with Glossworkz, at 1 oz to 5 gallons - not enough lubricity...same with CWC, CWG...Ultima shampoo is the only one that feels well lubed up at that dillution ratio...

 

Thinking that I'm going to go with MS Ultra Gloss, a lot of people are raving about it so it much be good. I tried to order but it wont show me shipping to here and wont accept my paypal since its US only for paypal. Anyone here from Canada use it?

 

I say DG 902. Is there a carquest near you? I don't know if they have them in Canada, but Carquest carries duragloss on the shelf.

 

I remember reading on a forum ( I think) that this products contains some type of acid. Can't remember where though, I'll try and find it

No there isnt but I plan to make a purchase and ship it to family in the states anyways. And not looking at MS UG shipping I think killed it DG 902 is $30 which is a bit pricey, anyone know any cheaper?

 

One helluva soap for $30 shipped. Shipping sucks and gallons are pretty heavy compared to most things in the detailng business.

LOL, I do have a carquest down the road from me. Never heard that name before so i assumed there wasnt. Ill call them to see if they have DG

 

Well I can't find the article so I looked at the msds on their website and the Ultra Gloss contains Hydroxyethyl, which according to Wiki is

CAS Type 1 name: 2-propenoic acid, 2-methyl-, 2-hydroxyethyl ester

Not sure how this would affect the paint or any wax but it puts me off trying it.

 

Interesting, I haven't noticed any ill effects when using it, and thats washing my car weekly with it.

 

Could be a common ingredient in most shampoos but still makes me a little uneasy

 

Just searched it up and its used for the suds, as well as hair shampoo and car shampoo, so nothing to worry about at all. I mean if you skin and hair can take it im sure the clear coat can too
