just wonder if you use polisher to apply this sealant/wax or you do it by hand with applicator? just dont wana mess it up and have to redo it i did apply 845 by hand(yes just hands nothing else) on test panel.
I apply 845 with a foam applicator. Put it on thin. Once it begins to haze, buff off with a good MF towel. Don't use the super-thick ones though, use like a medium thickness towel. Never used 476, so I can't help there. :sorry:
how long to wait till applying 476 after 845 for example or how long to wait to apply 845 after menz FMJ? and how long to wait till you can apply wax on top of 845 or 476
i have a question about 845 again myself. I put on a layer the other day. Im gonna be doing an ONR wash this weekend. Can i put another layer of 845 after the ONR wash? or do the polymers ONR leaves behind prevent 845 from bonding correctly? again, there is already 1 layer of 845 on there. thanks. (my master plan is to ONR wash, add another layer of 845 via pc w/ black uber, and then a layer of petes 53.)
froboy ... I don't think you should have an issue. I performed the same wax job on my dad's accord ... ONR wash, a layer of 845 and then a layer of Pete's 53. It turned out really good. You'll be amazed how good 845 looks with a coat of OCW. That's the way I have been maintaining my wife's highlander.
I apply 845 with a Blackfire Ultimate applicator and 476 with a Blackfire Concours applicator. I find that the rectangular applicators lend themselves well to applying sealant, but waxes are easier to apply with the round ones.
as for the application after applying it with an uber pad on my pc i dont think ill ever use 845 in a different way again. SOOOO much easier for getting good, thin, even coverage. i actually wasn't worried about the method of application as much as using it after an ONR wash. from my understanding ONR leaves polymers behind. i was afraid that these polymers would interfere with adding another layer of 845.
I've used 476 with both the PCXP and with an applicator. I only really use the PCXP for my client's trailer.
