    Thanks. Actually most of my photos were taken with a Canon 24-105 f/4 IS L lens. I like how it produces the DOF (blurs the background) better than the 17-40 f/4 lens. A few of the pics were taken with weesped's 10-22mm.

    Yeah, weesped's a good guy. Just young and gullible. That's why we like to pick on him.

    Nica, are you getting the same lens as mine? Or going for the 2.8 IS? The only reason I wouldn't get that one yet is its weight. I've heard that's one heavy lens, but very very fast!

    hummm, also at first i hated the idea of "fake exhausts" but in reality alot of higher end sports cars carry these "fake" exhaust. e.g. some porches etc. also its like todd said, u gota hear this thing, my little normal IS w/ exhaust/ intake sounds like nothing compared to the IS-F. is-f = true beast

    Well these are the lenses I'm currently doing some reading up on and looking on purchasing next, but that is after I'm done all my reading/asking questions:

    • Canon Wide Angle EF 35mm f/2.0
    • Canon Zoom Wide Angle-Telephoto EF 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6L IS
    • Canon Zoom Wide Angle-Telephoto EF 24-105mm f/4L IS

    Like I said though I've got lots to read before I purhcase any of them.

    Haven't used the 35 f/2. I have a 28 f/2.8 and I like it better than the nifty fifty (50 1.8). Wider angle, so I can get up close and use it on my details.

    I've heard good reviews about the 28-300, but I'm spoiled with the fixed f/4 in all my lenses, I don't think I can go back to variable apertures. You got my input on the 24-105. I like it as an all-around, everyday lens.

    Here's the lenses that I have:
    * Canon 17-40mm f/4
    * Canon 24-105mm f/4 IS
    * Canon 70-200mm f/4 IS
    * Canon 28mm prime f/2.8
    * Tamron 11-18mm f/3.5-5.6 wide angle

    Nice range of lenses tod :druling:

    I too have been hearing and reading great things on the 28-300. The 24-105mm sounds like a great lens but I'm still doing some reading on all the lenses but so far I've been quite impressed with the new lens :thumb:

    Thank you for the feed back tod, I'm sure I'll have lots of more questions :paranoia:

    :popcorn: :graduation: The "F" in IS-F is a shout out to the Lexus theory of design called L-Finesse. You'll also notice the font the "F" is written in. Similar to F1 font.
    Also, there is a rumour that the letter "F" has significance to Lexus because as the story goes, "F" was a code name internally for Lexus back in the '80's when the the first LS was being developed.

    I think you have that one backwards. The M3 literally drove off from the IS-F and the C63 on the track. The IS-F and the C63 were neck and neck, but a distant second to the M3. The I and C both have more torque, which is good for acceleration, but overall, the M3 stands alone.

    I think it's great that Lexus is getting into this group. It will raise the bar for the other manufacturers.
