I do about 5-6 cars a day (glass at least) and this is definitely true. I always run two towels, and often move the original drying towel to wiping towel, and bring in a brand new dry one. I find that quickly wiping or dusting with the wiping towel can dissipate some of the cleaner and make it easier to use the drying towel.
Red waffle weave towels from CG along with Meguiars Professional glass cleaner ........ never any streaking left behind and my job is that much easier.
Use Dr Joe dedicated Lint-Free 100% Cotton Surgical Towels, that have a tight cotton herringbone weave and a thread count of 170 per square inch, which is ideal for hard surfaces like glass as they have more ‘grip’ than micro fibre towels and helps to break up the surface debris. Fold the towel in half and then half again. Mist the glass surface with 1:1 ratio of distilled white vinegar and water solution in a spray bottle or Stoners Invisible Glass™ Trigger Spray Bottle. Use one towel for product application and one for removal / buffing. Once glass surfaces are clean and dry protect it with a sealant or wax.
I use the glass paper towels from PAC (link below). They are cheap and right now with free shippin/no min it is a great value. They have a bit of texture to them to help clean and do not mar my tint. Overall only towel/cloth I use and dont get streaking issues. Pop-up Glass Cleaning Wipes
Same technique and works great for me, I use ww mf for damp cleaning towel and a glass mf for buffing
I started using these after seeing a post from you about them. I have always hated doing glass but these make it a breeze and no streaking plus nothing to wash, use and throw away!
Use 2 towels; 1 to clean, 1 to buff. My favourite glass cleaning towel is old Autoglym polishing cloth(sockinette). It has to be very season if not it will lint badly. If it doesn't lint, i preferred it much more over waffle weave and short nap MF.
I use CG polishing towels to spread and these to final buff they work awesome Starfiber Microfiber Window and Glass Towels 16"x16" in Gray or Sea Blue - HOME MICROFIBER
