What do you use on top of Opti-Coat?

Is it even necessary to apply an LSP over Opti-Coat? Will Reload work/augment Opti-Coat or is it only for use over Aquartz? What does everyone use in this situation?

I too am interested if there is something that will make it feel smoother. What about Optimum Opti-Seal?

Maybe if you ate a lot of silicone beforehand?? Otherwise, I'll pass on that technique:)

According to Chris at Optimum, applying anything over Opti Coat is a mute point as nothing will bond with it.

    So really, nothing?

Wash>>Rinse>>sit back and drink many beers? I could do without the LSP step.

As far as I understand...it's not recommended to top it with anything, as Ken mentioned...? I just applied it to my new set of Volks yesterday, and didn't intend to use anything else.

how does it look? does it look sterile like say Zaino? or does it add any depth? that is the only reason why I have not done it yet as my truck does not have much depth and BFMS gives it depth.

Cquartz was pretty sterile looking on my STI but sheeted water like nobodys business
making it super easy to maintain.

Which is what I am looking for, I hate washing my truck.

Optimum car wax if you must use something.

Everything I've read says it's pretty pointless to add anything over top. I think the key is to maintain the cleanliness.

I've heard Carpro Reload does add something.

But the fact that nothing sticks makes me happy enough to leave OC alone.

Yes in fact Aquartz Reload works great on Opti Coat/Guard. I used have been using it on one of my cars now every month.

Chris said that you can top it with OCW, but it will only last a few weeks.

Some of us also like the feeling of waxing/sealing the car, even when the difference/durability is nominal.
    That's why I detail cars.

You can put anything on top of it but whatever you put on it will not last and actually make the coating more likely to collect dust/dirt....ect and make the coating loose some of its easy clean features. The best topper I found was OCW and that is only to boost slickness a bit. Anymore, I simply wash and dry and thats it.

Phil, does it actually augment/revitalize the OptiCoat layer or does it just make it look pretty?

it definitely adds protection as Aquartz Reload beads extremely tight.
it will also add that slickness that Opti Coat lacks.
