To build a shop like this takes BIGBUCKS!!!!!, and the salary requirements for Kevin & Dave are up there as well(to do it right). I have had a few of my wealthy clients want to invest in something like this......but when they see the commitment required they started to look at the ground when I was talking to them(lol) as most people including the owner of Performance Art want a "hobby shop" to play in and me and the guys were not "playing" as this was serious stuff and our livelyhood.

It was really a shame to watch all this happen from a front row seat, if I could ever get my hands on some money I would do it right again as I now know what "not to do" as much as I know "what to do" and that is have FULL control over everything.

To this day when I go to the SEMA show wheel & tire companies ask me if I have any investors in the wings, as they KNOW what Kevin, Dave and I were capable of doing(as they were @ my grand opening in 07).

  2. Why does the place have to be so large? Couldn't you accomplish the same in a much smaller space

The owner owned the entire builing we were in(250,000 square/ft) so we had the luxury of being in the 20,000 + portion.

Part of the problem was we were really far from the client base (45miles +) and guys did not want to drive down to the shop(even against my wishes to be at this location but what do I know I am a "Wax Jockey" "Car Washer" the owner pushed it trough to be in this building) and yes we could have done great in a 5,000 sq/ft space in a better location like this shop(Sharkwerks's new shop down the street from me).

    d00t Welcome to Detailing

    Truck looks great, Bob!

While Bob and I have our differences... he's not blowing smoke. I personally watched these guys come up to Bob, know him by name, and ask what he said they asked. I was quite amazed myself (including the North American head of TechArt)

That was Mark Carillo, he left CEC and I think he is with Nutek Wheels. Mark is a "quality guy" hope he does well in his new ventures.
