I need to do some minor touch up on black paint. Should I do it before or after polishing with Menz IP? I will be using Lanka with a clear top coat. Thanks.

You should touch up before. After you apply the touch up paint you have to let it cure. I would leave it for 24-48 hours. You might have to apply the touch up paint twice because it will bubble in. Then You are going to have to sand it down level with your original paint. Then you are going to have to polish it. Be patient with it. You can't rush it or it will turn out bad.

I've done it before polishing and after polishing but if you do it before you have to let the touch up paint completely dry if you don't you'll just remove the touch up paint.

Yes, some wet sanding may be required as well.

If you polish first and then apply touch up paint you'll just have to be carefull not to apply too thick.

    Well hope this helps.

Thanks. I am using the Lanka kit so I hope wet sanding is not necessary.

if you do it after make sure you clean the spot well, you dont want any left over polish residue or polishing oils to casue bonding problems

+1 on the Lanka, I've always been curious about this item but always forget to order it.
