There is a vendor thinking of doing a GB on the Tornado 30% off if 10 people commit So $129 tool for $90 If I had a compressor I'd be in, hell it maybe a good reason to look for a compressor:headbang: Anyone interested in a Tornador Group Buy? - DetailingForums.com
OOOOOOOO, that's cool! My Coleman Powermate compressor would like that. Definite interest. I can see me using that as an engine detailer!
My bad, I just realized I linked the thread and not the product page.. Here's the prod page with associated video Tornador Cleaning Tool
wow I was just cleaning my sister's car thinking of a tool like this. I'd be interested but I don't even have a compressor. I'm still interested. I'll probably buy it now if anything and get the compressor later. keep me posted. btw, he mentions an 8 gallon compressor.. a quick google and those things cost about 800! isn't there anything significantly cheaper I can use this with?
$800? You must be looking in the wrong places. My 11-gal 125psi reconditioned Coleman Powermate was $199.99. Visit aircompressorsdirect.com.
Compressors can be had for WAY less than that... Here's just a few quick examples Harbor Freight Tools - Quality Tools at the Lowest Prices 150 PSI, 6-Gallon Oil-Free Pancake Air Compressor Kit 6 Gallon 1.5 Running HP Pancake Compressor with Wheels and Handle - H1506FWH at The Home Depot
I paid $169 at Harbor Freight with a three year warranty....even exchange. If it's broke they'll give you a new one.
ah cool, thanks for the links guys. yeah I just kinda did a quick google and saw the first link. thanks again
Here's a link to the same video about the tornador with the guy talking about the tool. YouTube - TORNADOR Cleaning Tool
I have use one personally. My distributor was selling them. Not sire the cost, but They were decent. I did not get enough hands on to really get a feel for it. Also, not sure it is a great tool for us mobile guys, as you have to fire up your generator, to fire up your air compressor, just to get it to work. Now a fixed location is good. The tool does do what it is described to do as well. No gimmicks.
only benefit I see is getting the chemical to come out under pressure.... Just increase the cut on megs apc from 10:1 to 9:1. You still have to wipe with an MF to clean anyways.
