System one

from what i have seen when i have used it, it doesn't contain any fillers..ill do a test tho

 

ok I just ordered the starter kit... so I can try it with the pads they say to use.. I will do as they say then start playing around..should be here in 1-2weeks

 

I know Toto loves the stuff, I seen that a few days ago on AG. When ya'll get the product, do some reviews. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would love to see a review.

I used the old formula and wet sanded a whole car, it worked great. I here the new formula is better.I just got the System One X and still need to try it as soon as the rain stops!!

 

well I really wated to try it so its no biggy... plus it was cheap. I think shipped the starter kit was 115. So no biggy.... makes up for the cigars I returned.

And we will get togjter ofcourse.:comfort:

I dont see how this system can match a 2 or 3 step polish with Menzerna or UF?

 

I will stick with my Menzerna!!

 

Yes I'm on the same boat as you D&D but seeing/trying it out is the only way to settle my curiosity, lickely Calgary purchased some or was it sneek??....well hopefully I'll come over and watch them work wih it...so till I try it and use it for my self I too find it hard to beleave on this product.

For now I'll stick to Menzerna, 3M and Scholl :thumb:

 

Have you tried the Scholl products?

I am very skeptical of system one too and have been for the past 4 years, but I am thinking of testing it out. If what he is saying it never breaks down, then I have one hell of a system for it.

 

Yes, I've been playing around with Scholls for a bit now and I'm quite pleased with it. To me it's about the same as Menzerna, the aggresive stuff is just like Power Gloss...it dusts about the same to me but it tends to have longer working time. The less aggresive products are quite good too, they have a very long working time and like Menzerna you can totally tell when it's been broken down....the more I use it the more I like it, if there is one difference I noticed between Scholls vs Menzerna would be the working time and the break down. To me Scholls has a tad more working time with it and a bit more of a bite to it compared to Menzerna but to be honest it would very hard for me to switch over to Scholls and drop Menzerna, I still prefer Menzerna but as a back up I'll take Scholls.

As for this System One, Calgarydetail got some in and we are going to be conducting some test....I'm looking forward on using this product but I have mixed feelings about it :shrug: Between a few of us that are going to be testing System One I'm sure we can come up with something to share...I just think that becuase I'm stuck on Menzerna and other products I may be a bit biased on the testing of System One that's all :shrug:

 

I tried the Scholl and they were ok. To me they finished off to fast for what I wanted them to do.. I put S17 up against SIP and SIP worked better, finished off 6 times better. This was all done by rotary. I will play with them more when I have time.

Were you using a rotary or random? I think they would be great for a random.

It's really hard to beat Menzerna, Presta and 3M for real results. I am not biased and am very open to all new polishes, but these two have showed me some amazing results. I still want to try the UK 3M 80349 and Fast cut plus.

 

Yes, all I use now is rotary Makita or Metabo. That's interesting how you say you felt they were finishing off to fast, I felt the oposite..but keep in mind climate could affect the product...:shrug:...I don't know maybe oh and where I've been using the products there is lots of moisture too which I thought would cause it to act up but it behaved quite well.

But I agree it's going to be tough to top Menzerna. The UK 3M products are very nice, I can't beleave the difference between the US/Canadian 3M versus UK 3M but like my friend Gerry tells me UK is about 10 years a head in the paint industry compared to US/Canada..well at least that's what I'm told don't quote me on that.

 

The climate does play a role in how they work too. My climate was 69 in a dry garage. SIP was working flawless, so Scholl should have been working at it's peak also. It was done on a Metallic blue BMW 745.

I have heard from a few of you guys that there is a difference in the UK UF and the US UF. The wierd part is that everyone who has tried the US version rants and raves about it and the few who have the UK version says it's just OK. It's got me completly baffled. I figured you guys would be the ones who would really be raving if it was better than the US version.

I have contacted 3M of Europe direct and they will explain to me the differences and etc... I am dying to find out what the difference really is.

How do you like the 80349?

 

Oh I'd love to hear what info you get from 3M of Europe, I've only used once the 80349 but it has a long working time and you can cover a larger surface area...I really need to use the 3M UK products more but I haven't found a good (bad) vehicle to try them on. I got a other 3M products coming from the UK as well.
