they will tell you that is very common and they have the formula on hand because that is the norm for people buying divine

 

Well here is my experiance when I ordered Divine, for me it was choosing between German paint or Italian paint. I went with Italian um..well...can't share my reason why I went with Italian just yet but that's basically it. You can choose the type of paint, German paint, Italian paint...ect..ect. There was one called By George, that sounded great for silver/light colour vehicles but the carnauba content was a bit lower and Italia has a higher carnauba ontent (If I remember correctly that is)

 

Seriously, I am shocked that anybody on here woudl fall for this crap.

Considering Ferrari's, Bugatti's, and Lambo's all use PPG paint, which really doesn't care what continent it is on when it is sprayed.

The whole obvious BS marketing angle turns me off to companies like this as a whole.

 

Also, if I had a Ferrari, would SwissVax recommend Scurderia or Zuffenhausen wax for my "Italian" paint, considering that BOTH Mercedes and Ferrari use PPG Cermaclear.

 

Well Todd, to each there own. I'll be putting it up for the test and comparing it with Vintage along with the rest of my collection. I'm quite curious to see how Divine will comapre to my other wax's.

 

But don't you think forumalting a wax to the orgin of the car when most cars use the same exact paint is kind of insulting?

No, not at all. See this is how I see it, every wax out there has a purpose I'm fortunet that I can dish out the coin to try the expensive wax's so my theory don't nock it till you try it so that's exactly what I do..besides I love carnauba so for me it's worth it...nothing like walking to my room where I keep my personal collection and staring at it...if you get caught up on all the advertising/promoting..bla..bla..bla..well then why buy anything..why not just buy turtle wax...to me it's like purcharing multipe vehicles or collecting stamps or what not. Will it perform? I'm sure it will, will I like it? That I'm lookin forward to...once I try it I can say you know what yes it's full of BS...till then I can't say anything about it....I want to feel it for my self, play with application methods, removal methods compare it to other high end wax's that claim to do the same thing..ect..ect..but that's just me. So for me it's not about how exensive it is or the title that it bring or the braging rights it about the carnauba and seeing if I like it or not..if I don't well you know it's going to go in my collection, then I'll move on to another high end wax.

 

I understand, but when they "forumlate" for an Audi vs. a Lambroghini (one is German "paint" and one is Italian "paint) what is the difference?

I mean they both have Audi paint, and its identical. If the product was so great, I don't see why they feel the need to use such BS in the marketing.

By the way, I called Zymol once, and for my Ferrari (that I don't have) they recommend Ital. I asked why and they said it was desgined by Ferrari of USA to work on the soft Italian paint that Ferrari's have.

I told them that the paint was the same exact PPG style paint as one MB's, so should I use the German version instead. I was told no, because my paint is Italian. I mean it really opened my eyes to the BS that is put forth on these companies, and I am shocked that people who should know better buy into.

In the end, I agree that it doesn't matter. What matters is how you feel after using the wax. But for me, it does matter because there is a fine line between marketing and lying, and I think Swissvax has crossed it.
