Strike through?

    you do get what you pay for that is so true lol. but it honestly is a huge shame you have to pay so much more to get a better job. and thats without terrable orange peel. you would hope and think a dealership would give you a better job then some other body shops but that is no longer the case i guess. and as for application you said with clears certain clears will cause more dramatic orange peel then others. and with peeling clear in alot of cases he said it has to do with the paints chemistry actaully rejecting the clear and when it gets the right push or pressure to lift it you could basically powerwash all the clear off. but i guess it has to do with the ignorance of the general public not relizing that there is more too maintaing a car then an oil change. and therefore they dont expierence these problems and they dont complain about it. if mroe people payed attention and did what we do and started to relize these situations this sort of stuff would pop up alot less making a standard for paintwork. and we we need more of a consistancy of good work with that kind of stuff.

    The problem with thick clear coat isn't bonding so much as it is flaking. Thicker paint is less flexiable and more prone to pulling away from the surface as well as cracking, etc.
