You guys wax your cars with Prima Nero???

I really like Nero also, but I only stick to using it on tires and trim.

How good are some of the OTC products? I've considered buying some of them for use on customer's cars as they are readily available at local auto parts stores so I will always have a steady supply of them. But if they're not very good I obviously don't want to buy them. I think I'll be ordering DG Aquawax for use on my family's vehicles and the higher-end cars that I do though.

There are a few decent otc sprays imo. I'm not sure if they would be cost effective @ high volume though.

    Meguiars UQW
Turtle Wax Ice Spray (my personal favorite)
    Surf City Garage Speed Demon

They (Meguiars) say that 135 is bulk UQD and Synthetic Xpress Wax is bulk UQW, but imo, there is more than smell that is different in the formulations.

I am a big fan of DG AW. As mentioned, it can be purchased by the gallon or 5. Flat rate shipping of $5 helps too

What have you noticed that's different about UQW vs Synthetic Xpress Wax?

It could be the concentration of active ingredients, but the OTC product is definitely a little easier to use without getting smearing. I've noticed the application directions to be a bit different also.

As far as the UQD and 135 differences, UQD evaporates much faster. I like them both very much.

Well at least for me I'm gonna order the DG Aquawax...just the 22oz for now but when I've got more money and once I've tried it out I may go for a gallon of it next time.

You can't go wrong with either Aqua Wax or Opt Car Wax. I always keep a gallon of each on my shelf, and I also have a couple bottles of Hydro on-hand. DG AW is better than OCW as far as smearing (mainly on glass). Prima Hydro is the most streak-free on glass and paintwork but really does need the 24-hour cure time. As it says on the bottle, the surface does get slicker as it cures.

I haven't tried the new Meg's Detailer Line Spray Wax, but UQD and UQW are awesome if you want a deep, dark shine.

honestly i would love to use opt.....i use the apc,opt car wash is the only maintence wash i use. and i use oid. but it gets really humid here from march until october and some times your detail spray smears or hazes, so a little apprehensive on ocw

We recommend changing the dilution for OID from 3:1 to 4:1 if you experience streaking but OCW is not a concentrate so they are two different animals. Also, OCW is just spray on, spread over panel, then flip the towel and buff to a shine…so if it streaks you just didn't buff it all off. Best of all, you don't have to wait for it to haze or flash. We offer a 4 oz sample for $3.99 if you ever want to try it without too much commitment and Optimum has a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

I have heard that Opt Car Wax is just straight up streaky for some people, no matter what they do. But for me, Opt Car Wax is one of the most bullet-proof spray waxes ever. Easy to use and impressively durable, all for a very reasonable price per gallon. The only time I have streaking is on heavily-tinted/coated glass such as the Panoramic moonroofs on my parents' cars.

My Dad will use nothing but OCW after I gave him some. He is on his 2nd gallon asof now. If you do get some streaks or smearing, I found that some cool distilled water helps to straighten things right out!
