Speed seat for detailing

    I've been thinking about the racatac that phil sells because it gets me lower than my current stool and has a spot for tools/bottles etc...

    too bad it is so expensive.

    The stool in the OPs post seems well thought out but the problem I have with it and my current craftsman stool is that it doesn't go low enough for rocker panels and other low areas on cars. I find myself bending waaaaay over on the stool or just getting on my knees to work these areas.

    Griot's Garage used to have a really low detail creeper but expensive, it was ~$175usd. I have one and it works well for the really low stuff, but I think you still need another one in addition or a bucket seat setup. Here is a pic, there are still some available for sale but not direct through Griot's any longer.

    I would like to see one made that has a small foot print, that you can adjust the height easily to make it low for the rockers and higher for the doors / fenders. I would buy something like that!
