Spacer for Makita

If it was tighten to your backing plate and then tighten further to your rotary, you will have some difficulty screwing the backing plate out from the adaptor. Hence, making it fully round will not be a good idea. Mine was made round but at the base of the adaptor has 2 flat surface. I was lucky that I just show them my 5/8" backing plate and 14mm spindle thread makita and they came out with the nice design themselves.

kustomizing kid just got 2 made, and sent me one. i really like it. it.s a little over 3" without the threaded section. no flat spots to loosen the bp from the mandrel though.

lol I need to put the damn thing in a vice to get it loosened.

I will find out for you. I know the guy was making up 10 of them. They should've been done by now, but it was just a "when I get time" kind of thing for him.

 

I sent the machinist a txt... should hear back from him soon....

He said they got a big job and have had ot for the first time this year... but as soon as it is done he will have them made.

I have a program written for them now i just need to find the time to spin out 50 of them, and they will be stainless!
