Oh there is no doubt it will cost a penny or two or many lol like all things in life you always have to pay for it, it comes down to picking and choosing what items your willing to pay for that's all. Besides, look at it as a business perspective, do you honestly think Rogers or Apple are going to produce an item or sell an item to loose money, no. It's all about getting the customer, just the world of economics  I'm looking forward on the opportunity to playing around with the phone, should be interesting...just another toy Polo

i'm happy w/ my blackberry also, but i wouldn't be so quick to discount the iPhone as the folks at Apple may really have something w/ this iPhone apps store. For those that might not know, Apple provided a Software Developer Kit that allows anyone develop an iPhone application and post it on iTunes. Some are simple like weather and games, others provide interfaces to sites such as MySpace and FaceBook that are customized for the iPhone. these apps offer a much fuller internet experience then traditional mobile devices and can transform the iPhone into a true internet device.
I dont think you need one. I have used the iPhone to look at detailing bliss, and with the exception of youtube links it looks the same. It is really nice
w/ the iPod Touch it looks pretty good, much better then my blackberry. but i have to zoom in and zoom out all the time, kinda a hassle. do you have the same issue?
Not really. I could see why one would want to zoom in and zoom out, but I wouldn't say I had to do it lots. I don't mind reading really small text. haha i am kind of bad for surfing the web in class. on a laptop everyone around you knows what you are doing but in a smart phone...no one really knows any better.
This sounds good :thumb: I'm curious too how Detailing Bliss would look like on the iPhone, on the Blackberry it looks just fine, I have no complains I'm quite curious how it looks on the iPhone
i have a blackberry 8700c and an iPod Touch running 2.0 (some as most iPhones). the simplest way to explain it is the blackberry internet browser does text wrapping, meaning it will add new lines so the page can fit onto the blackberry screen. b/c of this everything isn't exactly where you'd expect it to be compared to the same page being displayed on a PC / laptop display. w/ the iPhone browser it does not do text wrapping. the entire page, just as you see in on a PC / laptop display is displayed on the screen. to do this the data on the page has to be very very small. this is where you use the iPhone's zoom capability (tap and hole on the iPhone screen with two fingers then pull them apart). At this point the page is too large to fit on the screen, resulting with parts of the page being 'hidden'. to get to the hidden parts of the page you tap and hold w/ one finger and 'pull' the hidden section of the page into the viewable area (similar to the way you move Google Maps). Now a custom detailing bliss iPhone app could be built to properly display page data w/o the need for text wrapping and / or zooming and moving. bear in mind that detailing bliss - i think - is a standard forum so i would expect someone to come up w/ this iPhone app that would work for all 'forum' type pages. well, i think i've probably totally confused ppl w/ that explanation. but that's the best i can do.
Fortunately, Evan got the votes. He didn't even start in the league........some of the plays he's made on 3rd are nothing short of incredible. He's got a bat as well. They both deserved it, but I'm glad Evan got it. I was there to watch him make his first start. Sorry for the hijack! I want an IPhone!! lol
Well the phone finally arrived. Quite the package it comes in: After a few hours of :wall: and on the :computer: and then on the phone with Rogers I finally got the phone to work and I have to admit it's quite an impresive unit. Bets of all the forum looks wicked on the iPhone: I see what one of the members said about the forum looking small and zooming in but it's cool zooming in :cheerl: Oh I felt silly, but to install the SIM card took me for ever :crasy: I actually had to phone Rogers to find out how I was supposed to replace the SIM card and then they told me what this little tool was for, I thought it was just for show: Quite the tool I tell ya. Any who the phone was acting up for me yesterday, it seemed to have a hard time reading the SIM card or getting signal. The other cell phones had full signal strenth the iPhone barely had any signal The other thing is I connected the Wifi and maybe it's an assumption but I thoguht the wifi signal on the phone would come on when the wifi is activated/connected...on the settings it shows it's on but the screen display didn't display it any who the internet on the iPhone is wicked and the phone it's self is packed with many, many cool features. Needless to say wife and I are impressed, I'm actually considering replacing my Blackberry now. I just love the way the internet displays on the iPhone and the speed wow :headbang: Well I'm sure I'll have plenty of more questions but figuired since I started the thread might as well post pictures of the phone.
lol..yea..if I only knew how to do that lol...I'll keep it on the back of my mind though, maybe. I'll talk to DB Boss about it see if he wants to take the challenge, I honestly don't have a clue what it would take to make a mobile friendly version
There's probably a plugin for vBulletin to make it easy. Here's the macrumors forums on a mobile-ified version.
