I agree with the IPA but make sure you do two or three wipes incase he has that magic glaze that will last through most bodyshops 30 day warranty window, oh and be sure to take lots of pictures of the tears

 

APC + IPA wipedown will reveal who actually did correction and who concealed.

I'd say good luck kicking this guy to the curb but if you're on DB you don't need luck.

Correct, it's normal procedure for me. water:APC 8:1 and water:IPA 1:1

 

Do you rinse off the APC? I would think that there may be a film left that the IPA could not 100% take off?

 

I use a really light mist, but if I think the IPA didn't/won't get it I have a spray bottle with just water near by.

 

Can't wait for the results.

as an update i was next door to the body shop this morning doing a neighbor of theirs truck. so i see this "detailer" as i'm up on my little work bench doing the roof of the truck, he sees me and waves. get what he yells out in a parking lot full of people: hey looser you ready to get your ass handed to you?" damn i wanted to go over there and kick his ass so bad! the customer i was working for was like wtf was that for?? i expained we had a little bet going on a car they are working on. too bad the car was inside the bay or i would have taken pics. i talked to my friend the manager and he said they are waiting on some parts then they will paint them and put it together. guess the owner of the car wanted some new parts and to have them painted. my friend also said they are getting a pool together on the out come. damn i better win! not that i'm worried LOL

 

I would have at least walked up to his face and told him if he ever said anything like that again, he would be replacing his front teeth with Chicklets. What a f*#$)&! idiot.
