Second lens...and it begins!!

hmm, around 5000 norwegian kroner...hmmm

 

5,000.00 Kroner huh...that sounds like alot...so pirex they got to sell camera stuff where you live right? Are they expensive? I'm assuming so beucase I picked up this lens localy and I paid over $1,000.00 for it...you can't beat online deals but the reason I didn't go that route is because of the warranty thing. If I purhcase a lens on line and I have any problems with it I would have to go through the online store for warranty, I purhcased it localy becuase if I have any problems with the lens I can just drive over to the store and they will give me a new lens...just convinient that's all..but you pay for conviniance :shrug:

 

I agree, I should try to find a local store..never been interesting in lenses etc before!

 

Yea, me neither. But wait till you see them with your own eyes, hold them and take pictures with them..boy will that change your opinion...well that's what happend to me :gidiup:

 

Well rather then creating a new thread I thought I'd share the filter/polarizer I just received. I ordered these items quite a wile back and was eagerly awaiting these items :thumb:





The UV is to go on the 10-20 lens and this is how it looks:




Now for the polarizer, that's to go on my Cannon L lens :thumb:


Well from here on in I'll be putting these two new additions to my growing camera collection to good use :mounty:

 

Geez, you don't fool around Carlos! Those are some high-end filters! I bought 2 Hoya (Made in Japan) filters for the price of one B+W. Congrats on the filters.:worship2:

 

lol...yea when I saw the price on these filters I did a bit of this :what: and a little of this :thud: but then I did some reading and got some feed back from guys that are hard core photographers and they recomended the B+W. Nice thing is that wile I was purchasing my L lense at the store I was able to use the B+W polarizer and I noticed it's effect/difference and I was blown away with it so I was hooked on B+W. Not cheap but well worth it considering the price of the lenses I got..well only one so far.

But I think my camera purchasing is going to be on hold for a bit, reason being I got lots of learning to do. I got the tools, now comes the learning curve. I learn something new every day, the other day I started playing around with the light balancing in the XTi and boy that was quite the shock to me...for the longest time I had it in Auto mode and changed it to other settings to match the abient lighting I was in and boy what a difference...well like I said I got lots to learn :coffee: but it's nice having good tools to learn with :thumb:

Can the lens cover snap into the polarizer, or does it need to be taken off to put the cap on?

 

Lens cover snaps right on to the polarizer no problem :thumb:

 

You should only have that problem of not being able to attach the lens cap with "slim" polarizers.

Regular polarizers should be fine
