Thank you John, coming from you that is quite a compliment as your shop is well known for "tightness".

Bob, all those cars all turned out sick!!! Noel is a cool dude, isn't he? Had the pleasure of working with him a couple of years ago and it was great! Very smart guy! How do you like HD wax compared to other wax's? Beads like crazy!!

You don't have to be completely immobilized to require the use of a handicapped permit.

My wife drives a Corvette and has one, she doesn't appear to have a disability but she has had two open heart surgeries, a kidney transplant and is a type I diabetic at the age of 42.

Her doctor suggested the permit since she can't walk far distances (200-300 feet) without becoming exhausted.

Next time think before you make a wise ass comment based on your own assumption. The fact that someone drives a nice car doesn't mean they are immune to having a disability.

Some people might appear healthy on the outside and actually be messed up on the inside.

Take this as a lesson learned.

My comment is more based on my knowledge of how much that company that employs the cars owner marks up cables (that have been proven to be hype not function) and has shady (IMHO) business practices.

Did you miss the story about how they sued a put put golf joint for their name?
Lawsuit: Monster Cable Thinks You Might Confuse Mini-Golf With Overpriced Cables - The Consumerist
    and Disney.
and anything else with the word M0st3r?

    the car is great
bobs shop / work is top notch.
my opinion of the company and its business practices less then stellar.
yes my comment was a bit douchey but it was more directed than a general statement.
so no disrespect to your wife or anyone else.

Here is the problem as I see it. When someone posts a write up even if the person(s) are not your cup of tea or if you think the level of work sucks(or anything else you do not like)why piss on that post?.

Can you imagine someone coming to your workplace and telling 10 people that in thier opinion you are overpriced....... has a different spin now does it not? but except on the internet it is not 10 people but THOUSANDS . If you worked hard to protect your earned brandname you will protect it, as a matter of fact Noel is mild in his litigation compared to Ferrari in going after people or company's as I was told once to take the Scuderia off my business card after someone from Ferrari got a hold of one of my cards at the Concorso Italiano in 2000, yes little old me the one horse operator.

How the hatorade towards (monster cable, not monter as you put it) went to a jab about the placard in the car to "Monster Cable is overpriced" well ALOT of people think I am overpriced as well and somehow I still keep a consistant client base just as Monster has done (Monster has done well by the cars Noel owns obviously) my write up was not the place to get on a soapbox about how YOU feel about a certain company or product line.

There is a trend of stupid and dissenting comments all over the boards(detailing and otherwise) and if it seems I have been testy well...................... yes I am, and so is Richie as we see a**hatness on a grand scale with snippy comments on the smallest of things and making detail write ups much more than they are with descriptions of techniques that really have nothing to do with good or great level of work.

There is a contingent of guys here and other places that unfairly judged Dave, Richie and myself as Gloss-it schills and it has graduated to snippy comments on me mentoring Dave and Richie down to uniforms(which make you look pro as opposed to amateur just look at police, dealership techs etc...) and stuff like well........"Bob only does cars that need no correction" when time after time I put up 50/50 pics and before and after shots of hammered black finishes. I felt the boards were for car guys who would want to see nice cars looking thier best but somehow the haterade was sipped then gulped down in copius amounts.

I cannot help that I live in an area of the country were the car culture is huge and I have quite a bit of clients to market to, anymore than someone who lives in a area where there is no concentration of luxury and exotic vehicles. As I stated before I worked hard to get and keep this level of client and have PAID my dues with the first seven years I was in business doing ANY kind of car so for those of you who continue to snipp at me EXPECT me to call you on your unfair B.S. with the quickness and to all of you who have sent me very supportive PM's I thank you kindly.

I appreciate everyone keeping their cool in this thread. As always, all opinions are welcome as long as we can deal with them like big boys.

Wait til you boys get your hands on a new 458 Italia... a bit harder than the normal "hard paint suckness"! It's notably harder on the 458's and I think this could be their "answer" to the scratched paint problems... Well, it's still a problem and even suckier for us now. I started Italia #5 today and it was nero... SUPERIOR SUCK!!!!!!!! Awesome work Bob!
