Yesterday, I've posted on a romanian forum the leatherique review & how to of Todd Cooperider (I had the OK from Todd to translate his review and to put the source). I've translate it, I've posted and on the last row I've mentioned the source. The first reply was that tutorial is a cheap advertise and the second reply is that I've violated the copyright. I've told them that if they had read the entire article, they should see that I've mentioned the source. But, because I live in Romania, over 50% of romanian people know to critics, not to give you a good word or to thank you.

Let me know your opinion? I was wrong when I've posted that article or what do you think?

    Thanks!

If you had the OK from Todd, then that is all that matters. He wrote it so he has authority on who post it and what happens to it, so if he said it was ok to translate and post then why not.

People just need to read before they say stuff, and that goes for many things not just this. haha

i would few it as a blessing.... it means that the people on that board are useless and you dont need to spend your time helping them any more :)

(i have zero tolerance for non appreciative people. i give anyone the shirt off my back if they need it, but if they are ungrateful ... they get put on my DB list)

on a side note i'm sitting 3 feet away from a Romanian as i type this.

Not all romanian people are like these people who replied to my thread, but almost. And I guess that romanian leaved the country to work in other countries like US, have changed the mentality.

Yes, Todd gave me his OK to translate and to post his articles on romanian forum. Ah, I forgot to tell you that when I asked the first replyer what means expensive advertise in his opinion, he has not answered me. :))

they are just jelous, I would think...and they are not following one simple rule - if you don't have anything nice to say - don't say anything at all!
Why don't you get some Leatherique, and do a review of your own...

I really wouldn't worry about it. You were just trying to share some useful information with everyone else and there are just some who always criticize.

I would not worry about it. If you were the Leatherique distributor for Romania, then I can see the conflict of interest.

But if you were merely wanting to post a review and a tutorial on how to use the product and you received the "OK" from Todd, you're in good shape mate.

Thanks guys. I appreciate your posts. Yes, I'm the romanian distributor, but i've posted that review because I want to share more info. Once again thanks.

All I ever ask is that you have-
    (a) the copyright holder permission (preferably in writing)
    (b) you cited the authors name and left the copyright mark intact (i.e. © John Smith, Copyright 2010, all rights reserved)
    (c) made no alterations to the text

Like I said, Todd (author) gave me his OK to translate his review on Romanian language, I've mentioned the source and also put a link to the original article, and I've not made any alteration on the text. Like some fellows said, some people can't be respectfully for your work.
