I could wash the Explorer this afternoon??? I can tell you, however, that the beading size was about the same, however, the beads were a bit more pert and tight on the Insignis side. Application was MILES easier on the Insignis, easy of removal about the same. Unless I'm doing it wrong, I just don't find Saphir to be easy to apply...
Here they are, taking at application time with my iPhone. You can see how much thicker Saphir is on there, versus Insignis which you can barely tell it's there. Really goes to show how little of the Insignis is being used...
Thanks, I ma hoping the weather warms up so I can put down a nice coat on a clean surface! Really looking to see how long this wax will last...
Can I order it directly from Swissvax Insignis - Scandic Shine's Voks 200 ml - 2500,- : Scandic Shine AS, Velkommen til vår nettbutikk
I thought I would give everyone an update. It's been 33 days now since I have touched the truck since I applied my first layer of Insignis. During that time, it was parked outside in Ft. Worth for 10 days covered in a few inches of snow. When I came back from my holiday, both of my batteries were drained to a point where the truck wouldn't start. So, after 33 days of some very non-Texas weather, and it not being washed. here are some pictures demonstrating how the wax is holding up... There were taking last night, and were not modified in any way apart from resizing and adding a border.
Looks great Piet, doing a little control test currently with Insignis as I have too much time on my hands LOL Dont think he will be carrying it, only can get it from Norway as of now (From SV Norway or Ketil himself) Dont know of any plans to expand or not...
To be fair, I only applied it to the bonnet of the Explorer. I'd be lying if I could really see a difference between the two sides just based off the wax. What I can tell is this: 1) Close to similar beading between the two waxes, but Insignis had the edge on the pert/tight side. 2) Insignis was much easier to apply, but were about equal to remove. I also used a LOT less Insignis than Saphir to cover the same amount of paint. 3) The vehicle is left outside 24/7, and I can already see the Saphir fading away when it's hit with a good shower. Insignis going strong. I'll report back once I've given the Explorer a proper bath...
Any updates on this P1et? Can't wait to see what it looks like after a good wash. By the way, your truck looks amazing! Nice job with the upkeep :applause2:
After 63 days I got bored, and even though it was still beading like a champ, I applied a second layer. Conclusion: lasts long enough to where someone like us would get bored
TRied it last sunday side by side with Mystery. Its very easy to spread with the fingers or palm of your hands. Its easier tto aply than Mystery, but both are great. NO differences between Mystery and Insignis yet. But it was a first test only.
WHAT! You gave in! Month and still going strong on mine. Nice, interested to hear some long term testing.
