hello all, first up a mini rant on halogen light bulbs from harbor freight. i use 2 of those husky heavy duty 4 bulb work lights. well we all know these things burn through bulbs but i purchased 4 500 watt bulbs and 4 150 watt ones. this happened one week ago. 2 500 watt bulbs burned out with 2 hours of install . since then maybe 10-15 hours of use all 8 bulbs have burned out. i just replaced them with some phillips bulbs from home depot hopefully i get better luck from these second product is the motorola h9 bluetooth stereo headset i got these over the holidays great idea for detailers no cord to tangle or get in the way when working . range is very good but works better indoors so the signal can bounce around. i put my phone on a shelve in my 2.5 car garage and can move all around in and out of the car and even into the house with little to non drop outs or popcorning (bluetooth static) now out side because of the lack of a signal bounce its best to put it in your pocket or in the car. i have gotten about 4.5-5 hours of usage from a charge and they recharge in about 1 hour. and its has volume up and down and track fwd and reverse touch controls and a pause/ talk control so you can answer calls which sound very good. i used this with my motorola droid x2 im sure those with older phones that use the older bluetooth standard may not have the same results
Thanks! I had the exact same problem with my Husky lamps lately when purchasing NOMA replacement 500w bulbs. Went through 4 while on the same vehicle. I've since picked up some Phillips brand bulbs at HD so we'll see how they do. As for the headset, thats the one I got told about by another forum member. Your findings reflect his so I guess it's time to money up and get a set.
Those headphones are a great idea..... how is the sound quality though? I know you mentioned more of a reception issues.
sound quality is decent ...mids and highs are good the bass is muddy and a little one noteish, plenty of volume though and little distortion. now they cant replace my sol republic amps hd's but for a wireless solution in the noisy garage/shop they do darn good. i will add this they sit in your ear with the loop going up towards your upper ear lobe and the top of the band goes behind your head ....they balance great there but can be a tight fit for those with bigger brain buckets. i wear a 8 in a hat and a xxl-xxxl in motorcyle helmets so im sure everyone here is smaller then that
