Review: Adam Lug Nut / Detail Brush

I'm still waiting for them to do a group buy for DB, I'd buy one

 

I bought this brush, and it came in yesterday. FWIW, it feels very balanced in my hand. I already had concerns about the metal ferrule, so I taped it up right out of the box. If the tape doesn't work, I'll try the heat shrink idea or the plastic-dip made for tool handles. Not really that big of an issue to me.

It's funny seeing guys complain about a $25 brush when they spend hundreds on a tub of paste carnauba.

 

I know what you mean. I washed 3 cars over the weekend and the Adam's brush was by my side the entire time so i could get a good feel for it. I used it on Wheels, tires, door jambs, grills, and window trim . Adams really hit a home run with this brush but people should figure that it's going to be one brush of several you should have on your shelf.

 

Side by side comparision:

These are shots of the Adam's lug nut brush (shiny ferrule, lighter colored bristles) and the SwissVax lug nut brush (red plastic ferrule, dark bristles).

As you can the see the Adam's brush has a larger, tapered handle, making it more comfortable, especially in a 'screwdriver' motion.



The Adam's brush is much larger and contains more bristles. Originally I thought the Adam's would not work as well for cleaning the lug nuts, but it worked fine and bristles that didn't fit in the lug nut well swept the outside of the wheel.


The Adam's brush is a boars hair brush. I have been hesitant to use the SV brush on the trim and emblems, but with the softer Adam's brush I used it without issue.

 

Its a good looking brush but there is no way I would pay that much for one.

 

What is the size of the Adams brush? Dia. and length? It looks pretty large from the video on the Adams site.
