aaaaahhhhaaaa....I knew it was synthetic right from the get go....oh and yea my mechanic friend told me the same thing about how vehicles are broken in....he said that as soon as you get a new vehicle they are good to go....no more braking in preiod like the old school....not unless you get an exotic vehicle...they don't call them exotic for nothing :thumb:

Some manufacturers were selling cars with synthetic in them since the 80's. I know my 1986 Shelby GLHS has Mobil 1 in it from the factory

:D but Honda's need to go through their first oil change, and then you can switch. I think Honda uses a special break in oil IIRC.

I am in Mechtronix, a mix of electronic and mechanical. Robotics, automation, PLC programming etc. I have extensive auto experience as I was also a licensed mechanic before becoming an Engineer. eShine has become so busy though I will soon throw in the towel on engineering. I should have done it early 2007 but there is a mental block......quit an engineering job and sell car wax...hmmm.....

I hear ya on the mental block thing... sounds kinda wacky when you try and explain it to people huh!!

One good thing about the area you are in is that if the need ever arises you should always be able to find some contract work.. I know we hire 3rd party people often for PLC programing

I wish you all the best as some day I would like to make a similar transition

What are some of the companies you hire sometimes (PLC)? Just curious if we have common people we know.
