So need to choose which one to get. I am a racing nut thus it is between GT5 or Forza, which ever game is better will be what system I will end up getting. Leaning towards the ps3 bc of the blueray compatibility, love GT4, and have a ps2. Not like it means anything but loved playing gt4 on it.

    So what is everyone's opinion?

Oh God this isn't going to be good..... haha

All I know is on-line play is supposed to be better on 360, PS3 is a great system as well. When I play 360 getting used to the controls is annoying.

Yes the online for the 360 is a bit better I think but man GT5 is the staple for racing games. Well GT is compared to the new Forza, I have played a little of both but never really got into them to get a good grasp.

Also d2d, yeah I know it may get ugly, darn fan boys :)

Obviously the choice right now would have to be 360 and Forza, since GT5 isnt out yet. In fact, thats what I have. But the better choice is the PS3, imo. It upconverts better the the 360 does, online play is free, and it plays bluray, while 360 doesnt. Gameplay is generally better on PS3 then 360 as well. The graphic ceiling is much higher.

I know GT5 Prologue is out and could hold me over till full gt5 is out, should be in first part of 2010, I am hoping! But as everyone knows they have pushed that back so many times.

I haven't played GT5 but Forza 3 is incredible. The customization is where it really shines. The in cabin view when racing is a little lack luster, but the environment is really beautiful and detailed. You can tinker with literally everything about your car. I'd definitely try to find a friend that has the demo or something so you can really see how far Forza goes. As for online, the amount of people that play PS online v. Xbox live, Xbox definitely takes the cake here. The game selection in my opinion on the Xbox is a little superior in my opinion too. The PS3 has some great exclusives though that are a ton of fun to play, such as Little Big Planet, Uncharted 2, Killzone 2 etc etc. If you're buying solely on Forza v. GT5 I'd lean towards the Xbox for Forza.

ps3 for me. the failure rate of the 360's is too much of a risk in my opinion, especially when ps3's is basically none.

Think I am going to go for the ps3....who knows...I can never make up my mind when it comes to technology. I am pretty bad at that, with detailing stuff it is just pretty easy but now when it comes to this.

I traded my 360 in a couple months back for the PS3 slim. My main reason to trade was ever since we had a baby I didn't use it as much anymore (everyday to once a month...maybe). I wanted a BR player so I felt this would give me best of both worlds incase I wanted to game every now and then. I am so glad I did. The online experience really isn't far off from the 360. That has changed quite a bit from where it was. My only complaint, which is minor, is how long it takes to load a game. The 360 had way too many issues. I sent mine off 4 times for the "ring of death". It froze too much and the lag was horrible. The system can get very hot a noisy as opposed to the PS3. And the 360 tends to scratch your games. The 360 to me is like a PC while the PS3 is like a Mac.

My vote goes for PS3, I'm a fan of playstation. I tried the 360 once and the controls just didn't feel right to me, so I stuck with what felt right PS3...plus makes a great Blue Ray player :thumb:

I had a 360 and got the red lights of death, my friend had hockuos at Costco so he returned it for me and they gave money back after like three years I lost the receipt to so they gave him the highest value Costco ever sold it at which is more than I bought it for so I got a PS3 for gt5

I would get the 360 because I don't use the blue ray player anyways, also I prefer the 360 controller it is more friendly like the back triggers and such the whole controller, and last I pretty much only play NHL games, which EA sports makes the 360 versions in 1080p, and PS3 versions are 720p ya tell me about it, EA does this for a majority of there sports games at least all on mine EA games.

    I vote 360

Well I am to late since you got the ps3, I recommend NHL 2010 it is epic (best game ever :shh:OK I know I am biased)
