I got some new pads yesterday to test out. They are 5.75inch pre-polymer foams and 5.75inch fast cut lambswool (no pics yet, will have tomorrow) These pre-polymer treated pads are the same foam as the newer versions of the 3M UK pads (fast cut green pad and yellow polishing pad etc)

White is cutting, yellow is light cut/polishing and blue in a finishing pad. I got 3 of each in the 5.75 inch and 2 of each in 3inch with a new 3inch cushion foam BP, even the fast cut wool pads come in 3inch which is pretty cool for heavy correction in small areas.

The 3inch BP...I am in love

The pads are flat but have a rounded edge different from what im used to, never seen this before on a foam buffing pad but it makes for easy polishing around edges.

The light cut/med polish pad on my brand new Flex 3403..thank you Phil, I really love this machine!

Now with the new 3"BP and cutting pad

I have tested the light cut yellow and blue finishing pad today and was super impressed, very smooth buffing, no hop and they are very easy to center on a 3M or hook and loop BP which is always nice.

On a side note the Flex 3403 will be my new go to rotary (sorry Makita), the flex is just so light and well balanced. i took off the bale handle and I get better control with it, with the new small BP and pads I will be able to really maneuver around those tight areas for correction.

A full review of the pads will be up soon, they are not for sale yet but will be very soon :thumb:.

3" pads and a backplate to fit those sound interesting for headlight restoration work.

I will let you guys know when these are available. Currently the pads are under going a slight color change as the white cutting pad is being changed to orange so people dont get confused.

The BP's are all done and maybe I can get you guys some of them sooner, this would be for DB members only as I personally think this is the best bunch of people on any detailing forum

those pads look great. i'm also interested in that backingplate. will that be the only size available or will there be larger ones to accommodate 5.5-6.5 inch pads?

Im a certified gloss it detailer, if your wondering if I get any $ for promoting products the answer is no. I do not sell the products and dont get paid a salary. I do however get a generous discount on all the products because I am a certified detailer but I do not only exclusively use Gloss It, as I said before in my write ups I will use whatever I need to get the finish I need. I still use M105, Ultrafina, LC pads etc when if I need to. I also get chance to beta test all the new products before they are released, as in these new BP's and the new wheel gel which is coming out.

All I wanted to do since i woke up is polish with the new flex, I really love that machine just be sure to wear proper ear protection when using it even at 1100rpm because you will slowly develop hearing problems...as with any extended use of a high speed polisher.

That constant drone of high decibel sound coming from any polisher is not conducive to your good health:loud: = :crasy:

Bob Willis of Auto Concierge taught me this a while back, he said learn from his mistakes as he never used to wear ear protection when buffing and it resulted in some hearing loss. I will start doing this with my makita as well.
