I agree with Billy on several points. First hollow points..make the bullet count. I want the prick dead. Second, a 12 gauge for the house. I would add you want to load it with slugs...will blow his head clean off from close range. I will add a few thoughts of my own. IF you choose to own/carry/use a weapon of any kind, GET TRAINING FOR IT and practice often. There is an excellent video on youtuve about a jeweller in New York who has had to shoot gang bangers 3 times in his store. He killed every one of them. You will probably only get a split second or less to use it so you need to be on target and fast. Your fine motor skills go to Hell under that kind of pressure, so easy removal holster is important too. I do not subscribe to being a victim or victimized. If anything ever happened to a loved one and you chose not to arm yourself, that's a decision that would haunt you forever.
Never had a break in of any kind. I do own 31 hand guns, an assault rifle, and a 12 gauge. Liek Richy said you should practice often and I do. I also have a concealed license but do not carry most of the time.
Smith&Wesson 45 for the car. 12 Guage Pump for the house,Buckshot(Slugs travel thru Sheetrock) As for Attack Dogs....11lb Rat Terrier & a 6lb Pomeranian, I have a Neighbor with a Male 125lb Rottweiler that is terrified of my Rat Terrier.:giggle: All I need is a 5 second head start and these Muts,Urrr... Beloved Pets provide me with that. As far as Non-Lethal Bullets...>>>>>:giggle: Memphis has the #2 Murder rate in the Country and my Dad told me years ago, if you pull a gun you better be ready to kill.:thud:
I have their, 9, 40, and 45. Sub-compact and standard size. I do not care for the Glock as much as my other guns but htey were the flavor of the month at one time so I bought them as I was allowed. I guess I need to buy more guns then because because my gun to lsp ratio is off-lol.
Sorry to hear about your break-in. The sad part is, the stuff which can't be replaced probably got pitched, and the items that were easy to sell were turned over for pennies on the dollar just for a quick fix. :sorry: :applause: :worship2: :mounty: Well said gentlemen!!! :applause: :worship2: :mounty: I also have a cc license - full size M&P 9 is my choice. :thumb:
Here is what I have for protection. Taurus PT111 9mm Mossberg 500 AK-47 UZI 9mm Finally The Show Stopper....... Pt11 and the .50 :gasp: I also have a Keltec .380 as my pocket gun but no pics yet.
In Norway, is very rare to have a gun for protection. We only use weapons to kill animals, lol. Even the police dosen`t have a gun regulary! They dosen`t carry it.
I have a two car garage, everything is locked up in there. I even lock my bike INSIDE the garage, that way, they cannot just bike off with it. I also have wireless cameras monitoring the front of the house, and the back of the house. They have red motion sensor LEDs, notifying anyone walking around my property that they're being video taped. I can view the video anywhere in the world, along with on my iPhone. When I leave town, I lock the inside of the garage door with a deadbolt. I also have commercials locks and I disable any remotes. It's a fact that thieves look at the BRAND of locks, and pick and choose if a house is easy to break in based on that. All my important information is backed up on external hard drives, that are hidden in the house when I leave. My PCs are locked down to the desk with a metal wire. Am I paranoid? Yes. I sold my shotgun, but still have another weapon in the house.
I hear that a lot about non lethal in the first round and lethal in the second. I'm not for this what so ever. If someone breaks into my house I want to be able to protect my family. I want that person dead when I pull the trigger the first time. Not stunned with a chance to kill me and then my family. I have more than one gun in the house and always wear one on me. I'd recommend a good alarm as a first defense though. I'd rather not have someone in my house to begin with instead of having to shoot one in my house. As far as being afraid to use your guns, if you are afraid you should not have one. I don't recommend going out and getting a gun with no training. I took training classes before ever getting a pistol and now I'm always going to the range to keep up. The hard part is finding freaking ammo right now though.
Awesome assortment man. I have a Keltec PF9 as my primary carry and love it. The glock guys hate them but that just makes me love it more! HAHA
