I was PMing another member just last night on a few ways to protect yourself against fraud. Here are a few suggestions. If you are using a credit card or paypal make sure that is the only use of that card. I you use a debit card from a second checking account that I keep little to no money in. Before I make a purchase, I transfer the money over into my second checking account and make my purchase with that debit card. So if anyone gets that debit card information they do not have access to my main checking account. You could do the same with a credit card with a low limit. Today I get an e-mail from a buddy that works at the pentagon. Scamers are calling saying you didn't show up for jury duty and there is a warrant out for your arrest. Then the people say I never go a summons. They say I will need to confirm some information to get this cleared up. People are telling them name, address, social security number... everything. I've heard about that fraudulent jury summon call...thanks for the reminder thank God I've never gotten that call. I'm sure if there's a warrant for your arrest you would be getting WAYY more than a call... lol.
