heres a problem that ive been having with my pressure washer and i cant figure out what the problem is. for no reason at all my pressure washer shuts off by itself 99% of the time i go to start it and it fires right back up only 2 times it woulnt start on me but if i waited a little while it started up again with no problem. now my van will be on a flat suraface, i did a tune up on it so it has oil, gas, new spark plug and air filter ive also cleaned out the gas tank the carburetor and the filter and i changed the oil senser so whats going on? can anyone tell me whats wrong with this thing?
I'd put a spark tester on it and just watch... I'd bet it snuffs out and shuts down randomly... I have had it happen and the last one I fixed was a coil for no reason.
i meant is the PW one that is meant to draw from a static source? or does it need pressure behind it? it might be that the pump is causing the engine to stall. i have seen a lot of people try and use non siphon pumps for detailing and the pumps fail because they are not meant for that type of work. it might be causing the load to be too much and stalling the engine
I don't know if this is your case but, when I bought our Sprinter and got it all setup, I had the generator fairly close to the PW. The heat from the genny had the fuel in the PW fuel tank getting hot, causing the PW to "Vaporlock". Ours acted like yours seems to be.
