You need to keep the flow rate of the water below 3 gallons per minute to allow the resin to thoroughly clean the water

    I have a snap-on one that I got from Costco. I hate it ...

    Pros:
    It's quiet

    Cons:
    everything ...
When using it, the pressure will just stop. You have to trigger a couple of time and then the pressure is back on. Then off again.

If I remember correctly, they are made by Karsher.

I ended up buying the snap on 2000psi to try out .I got home and used it then brought it right back . That thing does suck . I didnt have the trigger problem that you had but i highly doubt that it even put out 500psi . It wasnt even taking the soap off my car at 10ft away . I used to have a 1400 psi from hd that i could write my name in the ground with at full pressure . I think im used to using a higher gpm too because the snap on was just a light mist and barely got anything wet .

I went to home depot to look at what they had since i used to like the old one i had but there new ones look crappy .They all have like a clear crimped on hose and is one piece . im looking for somthing that is upgradable . I did like the ridgid ones and they have a ton of attachments for it at hd but its a bit too big for me .

What options do i have in pw's as far as being able to upgrade stuff ?

I was thinking about trying their 1600psi one from HD. I like the fact that it has a quick disconnect at the one end of the gun so I could connect the foam lance to it. I might give that a try and if I don't like it I will just return it.
