Hey guys. I need some advice here...I' working on a 2002 Twin Turbo 911...It has the regular spiderwebbing from improper washes..The paint protection film also has the similar spiderwbbing that looks to be on the film and not under it...What is the method or process for buffing the PPF...Can it be treated just like the paint...I plan on using SIP with an orange pad..If that doesn't get everything out, I'll step it up to M105 with the orange pad..I don't think that is going to be necessary though..I appreciate any advice from anyone that has had first hand experience with polishing the PPF. Thanks, Sean,,,,,
I don't think you can use SIP on an orange pad on PPF! I've always polished it very lightly as in essence you're polishing a very fine layer of plastic.
Less aggressive is what I've seen... also if it is the valugaurd stuff you can fix major defects with heat because it is supposed to be self healing...
You man ventureshield? If so then yes, a heat gun/blow dryer can heal some defects. I would not use anything more than maybe Menz 106FA or 85rd on PPF with a white or finishing pad.
