Almost walked out with a 2011 GTI 4 door ... but liked the GLI space more.

 

Yeah, The GTI is a sweet car.......you got a great car though. White and fully loaded is hard to find IMO especially in the condition it is in.

That's why I got it. I have seen only a handful and they are haven't been candy white. The car is so new I found some of the shipping plastic stuck to the door trims. Though for a second the car had been repainted ... lol

 

LOL. Yeah I did a white GTI a year ago, polished out that color actually pops. There is a slight blue tint to it IMO

 

Congrats! Those have come a long ways over the years. I don't know how soon you will need to do any maintenance on something that new but I would honestly start a small fund now for future repairs. $20 dollars a month isn't a lot of money, but in a few years when it needs one of those expensive VW only parts you will be happy you had something set aside. I loved my MK4 and really like my A4 now, but they are expensive to maintain.

Test spot- D300/M101 mix (2 passes) and Sonax Perfect Finish (1 pass). FG400 barely put a dent on this clear.

 

The clear can be a bitch on a VW/Audi. Looks like a very nice ride.

Well ... I returned the GLI today back to CarMax. I found that one door had been repainted and the repair work was less than spectacular. They also messed up the rear defroster while removing window tint and there were 2 windows with brillo pad damage severe enough that my 5 year old daughter brought it to my attention. Didn't feel I the car was worth what they were asking with all of this damage. Service Center was mediocre and I ended up driving the car for only one day. I dropped it off at service so they could address my concerns and the only issue they were willing to fix was the rear window. Had to wait a week for the rear window to get there. Was told to pound sand about the other issues ... "it looks good enough to us", even though the tape line on the door was already peeling off. I was so upset about everything that decided to give it back.

Back to car shopping again next week. I'm pissed, but I should have known better.

That sucks so bad. I have a new Dodge Ram booked in with 0 miles on it with paint that is FUBAR'd. Dealer told them to screw off, it's up to their standards. WTF?
