Wow Carlos those videos were great as I feel I picked up a lot of great tips I am going to use on my next detail hopefully this weekend. I can't wait to view those other videos you are going to create soon.

Thank you for the feed back Smith very much appreciated...um....could you see anything that you felt needed improvement? Glad you got something from the videos, that's all I was going for :peace: Oh and yes, there will be many, many more to come...they just take a bit of time to set up and then convert and upload...so just bare with me.

ya with all the youtube videos being so unclear, it is hard to see the process of ACTUAL product break down, which was nice to see. I know i usually stop long before, so now that i see how clear it should be i think i need to give the polish a few more passes to break down better.

as for suggestions....make more faster :worship2:

Just finished watching both videos. Excellent job on both. Now I am going to have to spend a few dollars on a new rotary, paint gauge, pads and more.... LOL. The only question I have is why was the paint gauge reading about 10 microns high, and then after a second go done to the actual reading? I am new to the paint gauge world and just trying to learn. Great video though, I am going to have to spend some more money now as my old single speed rotary isn't doing it for me anymore, and I am looking to move up from my UDM. Oops, one more question and then I will leave you alone. Which pads do you suggest? I am looking at a 5 inch backing plate and maybe the 6" pads from chemical guys. I am not set on which pads, but would prefer something around 6" as I feel they are earier for me to handle.
Thanks again though, really thoughtful of you to do this as I am sure it will benefit many people.

i know from mine, if it is not held flat the readings are somewhat off.

I just got a chance to watch these. The videos came out great. They main thing I wanted to see was how you guys handle the rotary and how fast you move it around. Thanks for taking the time bro.

Well before you start spending dig up dirt on what your going to spend your hard earned money on, read, ask as many questions as nesesary...well that's what I do..just a suggestion that's all.

As for the paint guage readings it's exactly what matrix says, the probes on the PosiTector gauges that I have, have to be perfectly flat to give you acurate readings so when the readings were taken I knew where I wasen't holding the probe completely flat so I waited for it to take another reading just to make sure. When your taking readings you have to take your time, the gauges are usualy fast to take the readings but thre is no need to rush.

Pads...mmm...well there are so many too choose from but the ones I personaly like and keep in my arsenal are the following:
    - Sonus pads (from what I've been hearing the CG pads are the same but I honestly dont know, as I haven't used them my self but I have lots of Sonus pads and they are really good)
    - Meg's (these are a must, you have to have the Meg's pads they work really good with Menzerna)
    - Lake Country (I'm not a big fan of these pads but they get the job done )

Hope this information helps, dont feel bad about asking questions that's how we all learn, the more you ask the more you learn.

Glad you enjoyed the videos :peace:

    you got it :thumb:

Well, those were definitely worth the download! It only took me about 30 minutes to download both at the same time (my bandwidth was roller coastering).

The HD quality is definitely a plus and it surpasses any of the videos I've seen, even the dvd quality ones. You're process and planning seemed very thorough and you knew exactly what you were doing.

I'm very interested in seeing many more videos made by you, Carlos, and I hope you will deliver! :headbang:

Oh and if you need any help with computers, feel free to ask me. :p:

I got to watch about 10 mins of each video, I can definitely understand what you mean about wanting to keep the high def, it's awesome! The quality of the videos are great. It's always nice to see other peoples polishing styles, everyone has their own unique techniques. Thanks for the vids and hope to see more (if my comp. allows)

Love the HD vids! Don't change 'em Carlos. Apparently, I need to work the polish longer than I am and be confident in using less. Hopefully that holds true for Flex DA users.

Did some polishing after work last night, then saw the videos. Now I've got some different things to try out...like take my time and work in smaller sections!

Looking forward to the next set of vids!

Carlos..I looked at the vids this morning. Like others have said, the quality is amazing. That is not surprising, as anyone who sees your work knows you are insistent on quality in all your endeavours. I have enjoyed the fruits of your labour with these videos and so many other things you have done to make DB the best forum there is..Buddy..keep up the good work. I know this must take some time away from your beautiful family, but tell them we really appreciate your time and commitment!!:applause2:

Great videos Carlos. I finally had the chance to sit down and watch them. The high def surely makes a difference in the picture quality. Thanks for putting them together for us.

Glad you enjoyed them Denzil, glad to hear the download was worth it :thumb: Hopefully I'll be able to load a few more coming up as for the computer help I may take you up on that lol...as just these two videos caused me to burn some brain cells hahaha.

Thank you Sparkie, glad you enjoyed them buddy..lol..I knew you were going to say that, about the way I talk hahahahaha..I still like to hear you speak buddy makes me smile :peace:

Glad you liked the videos Usjdmtuner :peace:

Thank you for the feed back, glad to hear you enjoyed the videos :thumb:

Yes, the quality was something else I was quite pleased with the quality but it just takes a bit of time to download. Glad to hear you enjoyed the videos :peace:

Glad you enjoyed the videos and the quality, as to the working time. I personaly prefer the long working time but to be honest we all have our own preferences, I work the polish for quite a bit..well like you saw in the videos and I've tried taking large sections and well I've found that it just dosen't allow the polish to break down properly, so I was doing double work and just waisting product. So now I split sections in half and so on, just small chunks. Takes a little longer but once you get a system going it's really effective and best of all your achive better results.

As for the DA, it should be the same..but then again it's been a wile since I used a DA so I honestly can't really coment on that.

Engine detail, sure I can do that, that's not to difficult :thumb:

Thank you richy, glad your enjoying all the goodies buddy. The family is always there with me, I'm very fortunet to have a very patient wife, she enjoyes watching me brain storm all these ideas that I come up with and just laughs at me..but a good laugh. As for time consuming..mmm...well some times it can be but for the most part I just do my best to balance family, work and detailing so far so good :paranoia:

Glad you enjoyed the videos richy and thank you for the feed back my friend, very much appreciated.

Glad you enjoyed the videos :peace:
