Hello everyone. The problem im having is that i have noticed on my personal car that on the from bumper, in very tiny areas, the clear coat appears to be flaking off( at least i think its the clear coat). Could these be rock chips? The bumper was repainted due to an accident by the previous owner, I read it in the records he gave me. It is only in like 3 small spots the size of an eraser on a pencil. i know i shouldnt have done this but i touchd it with my nail and sure enough it flaked a little more. What can i do about this? can i still polish and wax these areas or will that make it worse? Again it is the clear coat, i think or rock chips, beacause i can still see the silver paint. I just want to know if there are certain things to avoid in my wash, clay, polish, and wax process.
    Thanks for your time.

I too had a similar issue on a 2000 Toyota Echo that was in good shape.

The clear started to peel off the front plastic bumper. It was very twin coat..
