Your rant is misguided and according to your logic and reasoning then you must hate all types of advertising. You must not listen to any radio or TV either for they are filled with commercials which promote and push the "latest and greatest". The reason I say "misguided" is because I'm not sure where Integrity has "hyped" this product in this thread but rather sharing his personal experience with it. Is this wrong? If so then you need to personally police each and every thread on this and other forums in every instance where a new product is mentioned, correct? My vested interest in this product comes from it being well liked and received and no where have I gone out "shilling" this product. I'm not telling people to buy it nor am I telling people it's the best product in the world, will create new hair growth, fix global warming and also reflect cosmic rays from an exploding sun in another universe. It's a coating for paint and if you like it, awesome..... if you don't care for it that's just fine also. My beef here is it's illogical to bash a product when you have never tried it, nor may you ever try it. It's like giving a negative or positive review of a movie yet not ever having seen the movie. Even in my reply I did not "shill" this product so again stating that I am doing so is way off base. What is wrong with someone seeking to design a product that works well? Can anyone clarify that to me? Why the hate? It's very confusing to me because people design stuff so as to build a better mouse trap (and to obviously make a profit) but again, what's wrong with that? I mean no disrespect to anyone, even Mindflux (I have no personal issues with Mindflux other than his or her statements) and especially this forum so my apologies for this misdirection. Anthony
Sounds like an interesting product, thanks for sharing. So is this something like a permanent sealant? That was not made clear to me. Also, how would topping work? And is it non-removable? Say, you don't like the look of it after a month and are ready to try something else. How would one strip it off if you don't want it on there for 15 years?
You aren't far off about hating all sources of advertising. There isn't anything wrong with personal experience. I was merely commenting originally on the legion of bangwagoneers that would soon follow in with the pied piper. Yep, it sure is fine. That's what's great about these boards; everyone has a different opinion and they are all right, right? :worship2: I wasn't bashing the product! I was repeating (with exaggeration) what I've already read and heard about the product. There's nothing wrong with trying to design a better product without it we'd all still be driving cars that had 15 horse power and were 6-10 liter engines with a top speed of 30 MPH. Very well.
Longevity 'reports' on Autopia show 3 years of longevity (thus far). I guess that's a permanent sealant. Like 5 Star, X-Kote etc etc. :waiting2:
Mindflux, I posted this in show and shine because it's a refection to my work and therefore myself. For you to chime in with the bandwagon comment and further hijack my thread is rude and disrespectful. I ask you for the second time to keep your bashes and negs to PM's to me or Anthony or whoever else you feel threatened by. This public display is embarrassing to your credibility, don't you see that. At autopia you'd already be in timeout. Don't take advantage of Carlos' tolerance, you don't want to be known as being on par with V.I.P.E.R. do you?
I'm not discrediting your work. Every S&S you post is just amazing. Same with C&B's on Autopia. I've been on Autopia long enough to know what flies. I've been a member longer there than any other detailing board has existed. I'm one of the few "og's" over there that still posts, most everyone else has gone on to greener pastures. So there's your pat on the back. Good job! Hurrah!:chillpill:
I am highly anticipating this product. OPT has yet to let me down in the performance of their products. My favorite 3 brands for Value/Performance are: CG DG OPT All the new OPT products have blown me away. Great stuff. Thanks Anthony for keeping us updated, and Intergrity.... you lucky bastard... LOL
I agree with your selection and would have to add HiTemp to the list! And yes I do feel lucky, some other guys won samples to but haven't posted up pics, I was a little scared to apply it at first, that I'd screw up, but it just takes a little attention to detail. Now that I have two under my belt, I'm fascinated at the results for effort applied.
Mindflux, thanks for the replies and for some clarification. Appreciate that. For those wishing more info on this product......... It is a coating and not a sealant. It is pretty much permanent when applied. It can be topped with other waxes and sealants after it has bonded, usually 15 to 24 hours. I have applied Opti-Seal, Trade Secret, Victoria's and Optimum spray wax over it. Yes it can be removed by means of an abrasive polish. Dr. G. tells me that alcohol will not remove it nor will dish soap nor prepsol. I have had to polish the product off my own trucks hood because I applied it too thick and then re-applied it. So far we have used it on paint, glass, wheels and hard type trim and some plastics with no ill effects. Hope this helps, Anthony
So since it's a coating, does that eliminate the need to ever have a sealant on your vehicle ever again? And since everyone will top it with a wax, will that take away from the looks? Let's face it boys: this will put us out of business.
LOL..no, it won't put anyone out of business Like I said, it won't be for everyone.....and even if everyone wanted it on their cars there has to be people to apply it, right? :meditation: :support: There is no need for a sealant or wax if using this BUT a sealant or wax can be used just fine and we have found that a nice beauty wax adds wetness to it. Look for more reviews in the coming months before you make a choice to buy or skip it. Also, for those seeking a sample from me via PM I have only about 2 ounces left myself until Doctor G. is able to create more so "No X for you!" :giggle: Anthony
