Opti-Coat / Aquartz safe for plastic windshield?

The plastic windshield on my Yamaha R6 windshield has a really strange steakiness to it that won't polish out. It's almost like something accidic etched into it.

I don't have pics, but I'll take one later.

Fortunately, I have a replacement shield but I want to make sure this one stays contaminant free.

I know the description I've read for Opti-Coat says it's safe for plastic, but what about Aquarts?

Do you suppose either will offer the protection I need? Which do you suppose would be better?

 

I think OC will be tougher and more resilient long-term. You can always apply reload over the top to increase water beading/shedding.

Try both OC/AQ on your existing windscreen before you get rid of it and see what you think.
