Official PA/NJ Meet Thread.

hey guys sorry i havent been able to get on the computer til now. im in for whatever goes down. i think someone should contact phil DIRECTLY (phone call/email) regarding this situation. he might be a little too busy nowabouts with the move and all, but i would think he might be into the idea. i mean, i live near AWE Tuning (on of the countries most premier Porsche/Audi/VW Tuners) and they have get togethers at their facility alllll the time. its good for business. a park would be cool too,. but given the nature of our common hobby, we'd need a facility like phils place or whatever to do this at IMO. its not like a car GTG where you just show up with your ride and looks at eachothers cars. unless you guys wanna just bring all our supplies and equipment and get hard ons over eachothers collections hahaha. we need a place that can facilitate a little demonstration type of thing or where we can actually mess around with stuff etc. as far as my work, that would be awesome, but ill tell you right now its not going to happen. they wont go for it. ill ask anyways if you guys want, but guaranteed its not going to happen. we're ALWAYS busy and open six days a week, so it really wouldnt work. we would just get in the way of them making money.

i vote block party at rogers house. if youre from the city you'll get it.

 

Ok cool. So right now it pretty much looks like I'll be asking Phil, unless anyone else wants to host it. I'll let you guys know what Phil says.

 

Ok so Phil said he would love to, but he is far, far behind in his work so he can't in the near future.

yeah i figured this would be the case. IMO, since Phil is the good guy he is to all of us and seems to be interested in the idea, i think it would be worthwhile for us to wait on this until we can work something out with him at his facility. just my $.02. plus id love to finally meet phil and check out his place! :cig:

so whats up guys? a couple people have contacted phil regarding this matter. phil has expressed that he is definitely down with the idea though, which is awesome news. with him still getting things settled at his new facility and also him catching up on work, it looks like we would maybe have to wait around a couple months to get something rolling at phils place, which i still think would be worthwhile and we should still pursue, but i think since we're just getting into summer, we should all try and get together sometime previous to us going to phils place anyways. just like a little meet a greet kind of thing. try out some products maybe. whatever.
lets get the ball rolling on this!

lake nocamixon could be pretty cool, but this would not be suitable for trying out products really.

 

That's the downside, we all want to detail and do demos and such so its all about finding a place that tailors to that need of ours which is tough. Actually, anywhere with a hose or water source would be best if you think about it. If we don't do that then maybe we should consider just a meet and greet with a BBQ or something, just throwing ideas out there.

Ill meet in NJ or PA. Live in NJ, grew up in PA my entire life. Right near Misha.

 

I might be able to host something in Annapolis, MD (1.5 hrs south of philly) that will still be somewhat central and better for VA folks.
