so, im looking into doing detailing as a hobby. i just purchased a Makita 9227CX3 w/ 5.5" 1 orange, 1 white, and 1 black pads. so far i only have poorboy ssr 2.5, Meguiar’s #26 Hi-Tech Liquid Wax, blackwow, optimum no rinse, claymajic clay. what im basically asking is some advice on what i need to purchase. a kit or seperatly, looking to purchase during the black Friday sales. my budget i would say would be around 150. tia
Meguiars APC Meguiars Hyper Dressing Werkstat Acrylic Jett Trigger some good microfiber towels (from detailersdomain or theragshack) more pads 1Z polishes A good ww drying towel or 3 Meguiars Last Touch some good spray bottles 2 grit guards a good sponge or sheepskin mitt (or both) A nice car soap ( poorboys super slick&suds isnt too bad)
this is just the tip of the iceburg by the way there are a lot of nice products out there. you just have to be willing to try them to see what you like. I probably have a dozen or so waxes alone, liquid,paste, and spray waxes. i have a extra front bumper laying around to practice on. also i ordered some towels from ragshack already. i got the waffle drying towel, shag, and ultra premium towels. i know there area a lot of products out there, but i kind of wanted to get something that most people think are a great product to have that will get the job done.
