Personally, I'd just try and wait for the budget of a DSLR. I picked up the Canon T3 at Fry's about a month ago for $430, with the body, a kit lense, and a 16gb SD card. It's a fantastic camera and has been great for capturing my work. Having full control over the camera's settings is almost a must.

But if you want to go P&S, I really don't know much about them :p:

I'm more of a Canon guy. Made in Japan compared to Nikon made in China ;)

Ending up working pretty good, while not as fast as a DSLR but def not the slowest P&S, it did it's job well on my latest Paint Correction

Its called the S54 engine awesome power, sound, and speed. I had that engine in my 2002 Z3 MCoupe. My License plate - ARocket :)

The people I ended selling it to took a pic of the speedo in Montana and it registered 175mph. It had more to go, the car was rock solid and stable, they were not. :)

It is one of the best Bimmer engines ever. Those 6 individual throttle bodies, to die for !
