If the new Fein WPO
14-15 XE is a new machine, how do you know it will last a lifetime?

 

The Fein looks like an awesome polisher, now i need to save up more money.

Used mainly by body repair / paint shops or very experienced detailers to rectify more serious paint film surface imperfections using a Velcro baking plate, foam or wool pads of varying coarseness and an abrasive compound or polish to remove swirl marks, scratches and paint defects, using their high (revolution) speed and friction (heat) to enable compounds to abrade the paint film surface that require more power /speed than a random orbital buffer can provide.

Read the safety data sheets and follow safety directions. Personally, I almost always wear glasses, hearing protection, a quality dust filter or mask and a buffing apron when buffing

Presumption based on what I've gleaned from users and resellers of existing Fein tools.
When a company is renowned for its quality, it's taken on face value that they're not about to sacrifice all they've earned and built up through the decades by making something that's a bit DFR - do 'fine' rightly.
So the confidence is there to suggest it'll last quite some time before it starts to show signs of wearing out.
This is no different to why people choose Makita, Flex, Festool - they've all built up a reputation for excellent/reliable/dependable products, which comes about through not trading long term reputation for short term profit making/market share.
