I agree with FMINUS here, if I wanted a bucket like that, I would buy it. Don`t make it myself.

So we should warn everyone about new cars due to the fact that older ones had problems/recalls..... Sounds like you got a bone to pick with Edge :chris: ??

Yes we should... If someone asked about a particular OEM I would willingly give my opinion as well as warranty data in order to steer them to an OEM with better numbers

Ehuth1 you need to stop playing games, you dont like me, which i dont care about, you mean nothing to me. No bone to pick with EDGE, just stating facts. If you dont like what I have to say, leave it alone, no need for sarcastic comments, its seems you are the one always starting something that doesnt need to be started, so please grow up and act like the rest of the adults in here. Now that you have gotten this thread of course lets get it back on. Everyone should know about any product good or bad an this one is EDGE and they have had numerous problems. From that you might want to think of their quality that is it. If Lake County had problems with their products and someone was pushing something from them I would do the same as above.

Don't get me wrong I agree with educating anyone that is in need or looking for the best product for their money. My point was to say that all new product development will have flaws and recalls, but saying "WATCH OUT FOR ALL EDGE PRODUCTS ,THEY'VE HAD PROBLEMS " and relating that to a plastic 5 gallon bucket with 6 notches cut in it are two totally different ball games.

No asphalt I don't feel I've related this to you, but seems you are the one getting bent out of shape, do we really need NICA to settle this thread..

    Let us all be realistic.

Ok, who in world has ever seen a "plastic" bucket fall apart!!!!! It's Plastic!!!! and Im sure edge won't make the actual bucket, they'll probably buy a bunch wholesale, ship them to mexico and make the kids in the sweat shops cut out the notches with a butter knife!! :p::thumbdown::joint::angel:

Sure it was ehuth1 and nica doesnt need to get involved and no I am not bent out of shape.
Dust2glory-people need to know what type of products companies put out and that will determine if any of their products are worth purchasing. I wonder what is going to happen when someone gets cut from the edge of the bucket. I dont think you would purcahse products from a company if several of their products didnt work as promised, would make you think of their quality of everything else that was made by them. No need to support a company that has poor quality products. If you like their stuff great, but as said above, for someone new to this they should know about all the brands and their quality. I would do the same if it was any other product mentioned that has had problems.

Hey maybe they can curve out the edges of the bucket? so no cuts? That would probably raise the price of the bucket.

I've had horrible experiences w Edge pads/adapters. But their Schmitts are awesome.

IF they came out with more stuff I would still try it.

    ....Lets just be happy. :)

Personally I don't really see what could go wrong with a bucket :p
;) Let's not make this an any brand bashing thread. Can't we all just thank Shadybreal for his awesome idea? I see how one could make this themselves...but it is the concept...plus you are supporting a fellow DB members idea, given that the price isn't unreasonable. This invention is definitely one of those "why didn't I think of that" kind of things. Plus manufactured items usually have better fit and finish. It is kind of similar to the PC Guard....Sure..I could go by strips of neoprene and get some tape on the back, but why would I want to? I see myself as supporting people with bright ideas. (hahaha IIRC I was the first person to order the PC guard actually).

Shady: Thanks for literally dreaming up such a great idea :)

I just want to take the time to thank everyone for the comments and concern. It really means a lot to me for you guys and gals to say such nice things about the Carry-all. Yes I hope to make money on this deal, but I really don't think it's a get rich quick product. I know that once you give it try you won't want to wash a car w/o it. Sorry Nica for all the negativity it has stirred up. I wasn't trying to cause any problems. I just thought I would share my idea.

As for the all the "Negative Nates" out there I would like to thank you too! Not only have you increased the popularity of the post, but you've helped to motivate me even more. Yes you could by a bucket at Lowes and cut you on notches, but why? To save a few bucks and risk messing it up or cutting yourself? It's not like the bucket is going to be 20 dollars. Once we get the price finalized you see that it's not worth your time. In detailing most of us try to get somewhere between 40 and 50 dollars an hour, and don't think you want to waste an hour of your time to save a few dollars. I'm just young detailer who works hard everyday cleaning cars and had a idea that I thought was cool. If some other detailer came up w/ the idea I would buy one not only for it's time saving design, but to also help a fellow detailer out. Most of you spend 10 bucks everyday for lunch or dinner. Thanks again!

I have heard a number of great ideas/possible inventions/products come up with on night shifts. When you work 12 hours for 7 nights a month there's a lot of time to come up with such. Of all the pretty daggone good ideas I've heard over the years I have never once seen one followed through to "End Product". I commend someone who has the initiative to follow that idea through to "End Product".....Way to go Shady! Hope I see it in the stores one day and I can say "hey I know the guy that came up with that". Shady just don't get the "OxiClean, Simonize Swirl remover Guy" to do your infomercial...he just grates my nerves! Again congrats!:chest:
